“If a law is unjust , a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so.” I feel that it is right to disobey the law. Disobeying the law isn’t a bad thing, but to many people it is. I think civil disobedience is right in the event of an emergency. For example, if someone was to try to murder you could break the law in self defense. (Laws of Pertaining to History) stated that in 1669, if any slave was to resist his/her master and by the extremity of the correction should chance to die, that his death shall not be accepted by felony, but the master or that other person appointed by the master to punish him be acquit from molestation, since it cannot be presumed that prepensed malice which alone makes murther felony should induce any man to destroy his owne estate". For example, if a relative had a illness , and he/she can’t afford to buy the medicine needed to help, I feel it’s okay to steal. In this scenario stealing the medicine would be counted as saving a life. Disobeying laws can prevent this particular emergency. Not every person steals for no reason. Some people have reasons to steal, as simple as taking food for their homes to feed kids. Helping out a family member, or even helping out a person who isn’t family.
