Smoking and Vaping have similar health risks that overlap at some places. Some of the health risks of smoking, which are well known, are lung cancer, mouth cancer, throat cancer, bronchitis, and many others. These are caused by the thousands of chemicals in a single cigarette. Some of the well known ingredients are formaldehyde, nicotine, arsenic, tobacco, tar, and ammonia. As previously stated, formaldehyde and nicotine are two very addictive and cancer causing carcinogens, but another chemical, Arsenic, is used as rat poison and can cause cancer, neurological disorders, heart attacks, and other circulatory and cardiovascular diseases. Tobacco is another main ingredient in smoking which can cause mouth cancer and also contains nicotine. Tar is a very nasty substance which can cause multiple diseases and illnesses such as emphysema, bronchitis, lung …show more content…

But since Vaping has only been on the market for a few short years and has increased dramatically in popularity, it is almost impossible to know the long term health effects it has on the health of the human body. Vaping has many more choices and things you can do differently with the devices that make it worse than smoking such as the different types of “vape juice that you can purchase to inhale, taking apart the vape device to “drip” the “vape juice” on the coil of the vape to inhale more nicotine, and that the different tricks you can do with the vapor can give you diseases you didn’t think could exist at different parts of your body. Compared to Vaping, Smoking is no match and is being outsold. People are starting to realize how bad Smoking is for your body because of the thousands of chemicals it contains and the multiple health risks that comes with it but what they don’t know when they switch over to Vaping because they think they are making a better decision, is that it is potentially worse than the previous
