The story starts with this girl named Ji Li. She's really into dancing and thinks the Liberation Army is cool. They have these dances that get everyone excited. But then, things get crazy when the Four Olds start getting destroyed. The Four Olds are like these old traditions and customs, and people are destroying them. Ji-li is totally confused and scared about what's going on. It's like her whole world is getting turned upside down, and she doesn't know how to deal with it. Also, Ji-li's family used to be very wealthy, and now they're being treated differently because of it. It's like they have this "black spot" on them, and Ji-li feels really helpless about it.
