2. Produce Pricing System
3. Create a website

shop’s selling items, prices, opening and closing hours.
Form of Output:
· Hand made leaflet on an A4 sized page, which will be photo copied
many times and be posted off to companies, businesses, and near by
houses. The leaflet will contain pictures of sandwiches and various

· Map with Location clearly labelled
· Pricing
· Vouchers giving a certain amount of cash off certain sandwiches,
printed in each leaflet!

last page, not to waste space for other deals and advertisements.
· Information on different types of sandwiches, providing a different
vegetarian alternative menu for vegetarian customers.
· Information on a large selection of meat sandwiches for the majority
of customers who are meat eaters.
Data for output:
· On the first page I will have the Lancre lunch box logo.
· Opening hours
· Closing hours
· Shop name
· Location
· Map with Location clearly labelled
Desired outcomes:
1. Text must stand out
2. Details must stand out
3. Must be colourful
4. Must be easy to read
5. Information must be justified and look neat
Task 1: Design: Leaflet
I have designed 2 leaflets on paper. Shortly after I designed the
first one, I surveyed the issues and problems that arose. I solved the
problems and applied the changes to the second leaflet.
I will be using Microsoft publisher to design the leaflet. This
program will provide a solution because:
· It has a colour feature, which I will take full advantage of, to
attract potential customers.
· It has the ability to show me my 3-page leaflet via a visual display
unit (VDU).
· It is very user friendly in the way that it can easily interpret my
desired outcomes. E.g. the leaflet feature used to create a leaflet.
· Will give me a good visualisation of the outcome!
· It is specially designed to create this type of outcome! (A leaflet)
· I can import colour graphic files!
Why I have chosen the colours and effects that I have chosen for the
leaflet:
Front page:
· I will have an Ivy border due to the fact that it will create good
contrast against the Lancre lunch box logo! It will also look very

Donna M. Campbell. "The Salem Witch Trials." wsu. n.p., 2010. Web. 18 February 2014. .
The Salem witch trials had a drastic affect on the Puritan religion. The trials helped shape and point the direction for the New England Colonies and the Puritan religion. The Salem witch trials outbreak began in 1692. In the past, there had only been about five convictions of people being accused of witchcraft; none of this resulted in any deaths(Wilborn 16). Usually just a fine was given, but by the end of 1692 there was already 150 arrests (17). Whether you were rich or poor, it didn’t seem to matter, anyone and everyone was being accused. No one felt safe at this time (Trask ix).
A series of events occurred leading up to, and during the Salem Witch Trials making the situation far detrimental than it should have been. Salem, Massachusetts became the main focus in 1692 when over one hundred people were falsely accused of practicing witchcraft. Twenty were executed by being hanged, one by being pressed, and one-hundred and fifty-six jailed. Women played a big role in the trials. Most of them were the accusers, and the unlucky ones were the accused. The Puritans of this town had just recently moved from their old homes, so living in a new environment may have had an effect on the outrageous hysteria. People were not good with change. With that being said, Individualism began to conquer the principles of Puritanism while trying to protect oneself. Humanity was in a panic from trying to deal with new economic expansion. “The Puritan inhabitants were always alert to the “signs” that
Salem was under british rule and at the time of 1692 was waiting for a new governor. They also had no laws imposed because they had no charter. When the time came that the new governor, William Phips, reached Massachusetts, there was already cells filled with supposed witches. Many people in Salem Village had to support themselves by making their own clothes and food. Because the weather was so bad, some people had a hard time surviving with the little food they could get, and if starvation didn’t kill them, plagues like smallpox would. Furthermore, from the lack of leadership and lack of resources, it is clear that people would assume that the circumstances happening at the time was work from the devil. It is no surprise that the people of Salem town and village were convinced that witchcraft was being practiced in their town and it inevitably led to death and hysteria in all of Salem. (An Unsolved

To begin, it is important to connect the fashion of the 1920s to events that were occurring in the late 19th Century to fu...
In the small town of Salem, Massachusetts the fear of devil worshipers and witchcraft spread through the town like wild fire. In the years of 1692 and 1963 men and women accused of witchcraft were gathered up and imprisoned or killed. 200 men, women, and children were accused of witchcraft and there were at least 20 deaths . The majority were hung but there was one man that was pressed to death, and four known deaths in prisons. The rest of the accused were thrown in jail for months with out trials . The Salem Witch Trials were brought up by the belief of the supernatural, a recent smallpox epidemic, and fears from being attacked from the Native Americans, and longstanding rivalry with other town’s people. They were also fueled by their fear of outsiders and the suspicions and resentment of their neighbors. The trials were the start of something bigger that happened. The events that took place in Salem in 1692 are a part of a greater pattern throughout our history to persecute innocent people, especially women, as "witches."
During the years of 1692 and 1693 the fear of witchcraft swept through Salem, Massachusetts like a plague. Witchcraft strongly defied Puritan beliefs, and the Puritans executed any accused witches. Throughout the hysteria in Salem, 185 people were accused of practicing witchcraft. Rumors of witchcraft put many people’s lives in danger. Witchcraft was defined as entering into a compact with the devil in exchange for certain powers to do evil. It was considered a sin against God’s superiority; a strict rule against Puritan beliefs (Conforti). Although the Salem witch trials was an important and remarkable event that occurred to the Puritan people, there were not really witches in Salem, only hysteria and suspicion.
The ease and plenty of the 1920s, in the United States, served as a breeding ground for the growing acceptance of risqué attire that has come to dominate female clothing over the past decades. Dress over the past century has shifted from thick full-body gowns, and grand headpieces in the early part of the twentieth century, to a minimalistic and comparatively revealing style of attire. Flappers in the roaring twenties and their rising popularity after World War 1 eventually lead to the growth of acceptance for shorter more exposing clothing that can be seen in the typical clothing of the public today.
The majority of the historical events that took place in the 1920’s, greatly influenced the way women dressed, as the automobile industry grew, so did female’s interest in cars. As they became drivers, women’s clothes have been adjusted accordingly to their more liberated lifestyle, with sporty clothes becoming one of the leading fashion trends.
Some viewed them as immoral and immature, but others welcomed the change. Between clothing, hairstyles, social roles, and behavior, the women of the 1920s knew how to have fun: but where should the line have been drawn? For hundreds of years, women were expected to be covered from neck to wrist to toe. Until the Roaring Twenties, no self-respecting woman would dare break from her corset, dress, and stockings. Then, almost instantly, all kinds of women seemed to forget the past and dressed to express themselves. Each change in women's fashion prepared the world for the imminence of a shift in gender roles.
