The cost of Medical equipment plays a significant role in the delivery of health care. The clinical engineering at Victoria Hospital is an important branch of the hospital team management that are working to strategies ways to improve quality of service and lower cost repairs of equipments. The team members from Biomedical and maintenance engineering’s roles are to ensure utilization of quality equipments such as endoscope and minimize length of repair time. All these issues are a major influence in the hospital’s project cost. For example, Victory hospital, which is located in Canada, is in the process of evaluating different options to decrease cost of its endoscope repair. This equipment is use in the endoscopy department for gastroenterological and surgical procedures. In the final month of the pregnancy she will need to be seen weekly up until the delivery. It would also be beneficial to educate the family on the use of pain meds, when they are needed and what to expect. Parenting classes would also benefit the family since they won’t have the assistance of the kraamverzorgende. If you are looking for a job in the medical field, but also would like to work with children, pediatrics could be a great option. The reason I wanted to research this career is because I find medicine very interesting, but I would also like to work with kids. I realized I would like to work with kids when I was about ten. Ever since I started babysitting, I have really enjoyed spending time with children. Lately I have really enjoyed learning about medicine and all the careers in the medical field. In this paper I will be touching on a few areas, such as what pediatricians do, how much they get paid and the demand for this job, and the classes required.
We were nervous when giving care to the child alone without having a supervisor with adequate PICU training. we had our anxious moments with our outdated equipment. We had doubts and confusion on calculations of certain drugs seldom used in emergency. At times we were emotionally strained and upset with the reactions of some pediatricians. We were concerned that pediatricians would expect more from us than our capability. In view of considering the prognosis of critically ill child, we were in dilemma to give hope for the family about the recovery of the child.
