Xmas Lights
Suggested Title: I have found the perfect ornaments and lights for my Christmas tree!
Suggested Title: Fairy Lights are going to be the highlight of my Christmas decor this year!
I was shopping for Christmas lights on Amazon.com and I found this amazing product- The Fairy Light Set. The site sells a lot of LED light garlands but this product is truly unique because you get lights and ornament for the price of one. I paid $22.95 and I had a garland of 10 LED lights and 10 ornaments, each over 3 inches big, so they are not puny by any standard.
I simply love the festive theme of this product. The ornaments include Christmas trees, snowmen, stars, hearts and stockings. I was also smitten by the red and white color combination but I was not expecting much from lights that worked on 3 AA cells. And then came the shocker! I received my Fairy lights 2 days ago and put them to test.

Everybody says that if you are picking LED lights, don't go for red because it is one of the dull colors. But, in case of Fairy Lights, the red in the ornaments was glowing alongside the sparkling white.
Now, my house has pets as well as kids, so I wanted a product that would be 100% safe. One of the reasons why I limit myself to a few strings of battery operated icicle lights for outdoor decoration is because I did not want the kids fidgeting with lights that are connected to a power outlet. But, with the Fairy Light set, I have nothing to worry about even if the product malfunctions. The best part is that the ornaments are so strong that I doubt my kids or pets will be able to do any damage to them.
For the acid test, I wanted to try the Fairy Light set indoors. Any light glows bright in pitch darkness but use it indoors and the results are usually disappointing. Because Fairy Lights work on batteries, I could try them all over the house; from the mantel to the dining table and from my front door to the

In the fairy world of film A, there are mainly dark colours, while the fairy's clothes were bright, or, the fairies were represented as pinpricks of light. It makes it seem almost exotic. The clothing ... ... middle of paper ... ... speech comes to an end, you can see hatred in Oberons eyes.
“One of the first signs of Christmas was the arrival of the Christmas card in the post. John Calcott Horsley designed the first Christmas card in 1846 for Sir Henry Cole, Chairman of the Society of the Arts. Only 1000 cards were printed that first year and were expensive, but the pattern for the future was formed.” Encyclopedia. Then in 1870, postage was reduced. Thus began the real spread of the Christmas card. By the early 1870s, the custom had reached the United States. Christmas decorations sometimes appeared well before the holiday, also, but many still held to the old superstition that it was bad luck to put up a evergreen (Christmas Tree) before Christmas Eve. ”The most favored plants were all 'magical' because of the mid-winter berries they produced--mistletoe, holly and ivy. The red berry of the holly was believed to protect one against witchcraft.” Encyclopedia. The sprig had to be carried into the house by a male, as the berry is on the 'male' holly plant. One use for holly sprigs was to decorate the Christmas pudding. The 'female' ivy symbolized immortality. “Mistletoe, because of its pagan origins, was not allowed in any church. Kissing under the mistletoe was English custom and only as many berries as were on the mistletoe, could there be kisses. For after every kiss, a berry had to be removed from the sprig.” English Customs.
The new millennium casts a different role for candles. Not only are candles used as light sources during power outage, but they also symbolise festivity, calm the senses, mark intimacy, and accent home decors.
Hello my tantalizingly talloned troopers. You're hanging in there with me as my polishing powers persevere through this challenge. I'm glad you're still with me because today I had the chance to use something I really like. GLITTER! (Leftover sentiments from pre-school) I admit, I never grew out of the whole sparkly, colorful, fluffy and pink obsession that little girls have. I'll never disown Barbie, and I refuse to give up my love of sequines and rhinestones (I don't actually wear sequines).
Lights could have an emotional effect in some cases unrivaled by various other aspects of a hosting. They also heat up very quickly and become very hot when active for long periods of time. Not only does this mean that the flashlight becomes a burning hazard or could possibly damage nearby items, but it also means that these bulbs are very inefficient. Light bulbs are energy efficient by putting their focus on creating light instead of heat. Since incandescent bulbs create so much heat, they eat up battery life much faster. In fact, 80 to 90 percent of a regular incandescent bulb's energy is spent on creating heat instead of light, making them terribly inefficient.
Today it seems as though Christmas has fallen victim to materialism and commercialization. Rather than it being a time of loving and giving, it has become a stressful season of greed. Amidst all the hustle and bustle, it is important for us to recognize the true reason of the season, and celebrate in a fashion that exemplifies that reason.
In "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a transformation as a result of his encounters with three ghosts and becomes a kind, happy, and generous man. His greedy, cruel, and grumpy demeanor is replaced seemingly overnight, but he doesn’t just wake up and decide to be nice. It takes three Spirits to change his outlook on life - The Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, and Future. The Ghost of Christmas Past makes Scrooge begin to regret his selfishness, and the Ghost of Christmas Present begins to teach him about others. This second Ghost helps to make him realize that money doesn't buy happiness. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, however, teaches the most profound lesson of all: unless he changes, no one will care if Scrooge dies. Because of the Ghosts, by Christmas morning Ebenezer Scrooge is a completely different person from the man who went to bed on Christmas Eve.

Emma, Marissa and I are in charge of the making the lefse. This has been our job ever since we were little girls, becoming experts through all our years of experience. My grandma makes the most amazing food and always has enough to feed us for a week. After we stuff ourselves full of delicious, lasagna, salads, and hot dishes all made with love and while the adults lean back comfortably in their chairs, us kids go put on our pajamas and troop downstairs to open our gifts. The most memorable gift would be the ring my grandma gave me that used to be my great-grandmothers who died a couple days after my grandma turned fifteen. My great-grandma loved to travel and had a great passion for fashion, so this circle of metal with a little diamond in the middle and a floral pattern surrounding it, had been bought in California and has been in the family since. “Bang, bang, bang!” A huge pounding comes from the front door. Dogs bark, adults grin, and we race to open the creaky door. Santa Claus, eyes twinkling, dressed in red with coal-black boots, and swinging a sack over his right shoulder, steps inside. He plops down heavily; ringing merry bells and passes them off to David, my brother, telling him seriously to keep ringing them so Rudolf won’t fly away without him. With wide eyes, little David shakes the bells with such rigor that if Rudolf was in the North Pole he would be able to hear them. We each take a turn perching on his knee, hesitant at first but then opening up and telling him our age and that, “yes we have been really, really, really good this year.” As Santa’s beard tickles our chin as we lean in close for a picture and his big belly shakes as he laughs at the same time as you start to giggle. Then he opens his sack and pulls out gifts wrapped in colorful paper for each of us. With a few cookies for the road, crumbs in his beard and a
All the children put their First Christmas ornament on the tree, that I brought, as a gift.I am not usually a shopper, but during the Christmas season, I actually enjoy shopping. I rarely go into department stores, but during the Christmas season, I love to shop. The stores are so beautifully decorated and very festive. I can easily get carried away, with spending so much money. I must admit the thought of spending too much money hardly comes to mind.
Ah, to be a kid again. How wonderful it would be to relive the magic of Christmas. Don’t get me wrong, I have always been a kid at heart and a true lover of Christmas. But as we get older and we realize that Santa Claus and the North Pole were just stories our parents told us so we’d behave, Christmas starts to lose that magical feeling. No matter how much we might still love it, Christmastime just isn’t the same as when we were young. And at a time of all the aggravating shopping hustle and bustle, dents in the pockets, headaches, traffic jams and long lines, I begin to realize that God has sent me the most magical Christmas gift of all, a beautiful three year old whom I can relive Christmas in all over. Through my child’s eyes, I see myself each time his face lights up at the sight of Santa, and I feel his anticipation each morning as he faithfully opens up one more window on the Christmas calendar. Tonight, as we decorate the tree, I admiringly watched his tiny fingers delicately place each of the ornaments on all the same branches until they drooped to the floor. So proud of his work, I secretly placed some elsewhere, as to not hurt his feelings, and wondered how many times my own mother had done the same thing. And after a long day of shopping and excitement, I watched his eyelids begin to droop while lying underneath the warm glow of the Christmas tree lights.
