Ibiza is known globally today for its electronic music and clubbing scene as well as a scenic holiday resort. Internationally renowned live music events, such as Ibiza Rocks, are a year-round feature of Ibiza's culture. However, the island also has a rich history as a port city and fishing outpost. Ibiza was founded by the Phoenicians and has been home to a great number of ancient empires. But Ibiza is more than just the main town, clubs, and hotels.
