My aunt who just turned 77 has a bucket list and has completed some of it. I actually helped her complete one of the items on her bucket list and lent moral support for another. So I am thinking should I have a bucket list? What would be on my bucket list? What does it mean if I don’t have a bucket? I had a lot of fun helping my aunt over her birthday weekend. Maybe I really should get one of those bucket list things.
The thunder was so loud it woke me up at 3:30 am and my alarm was set for 4:00 am. I had a whole half hour to sleep yet. Lightening, thunder, thunder, lightening. Better get up and turn on the weather and see what the heck is going. I have a flight to catch at 7:15 am and the taxi is coming at 5:30. TV is on now.

How are we going to get out to the taxi there is a lake across my street all the way to the bottom of my stairs? Well maybe it will stop soon. I’ll call the cab company and delay the pick up time by fifteen minute. The rain should stop my then. “Hello” the voice said on the line. “We have a taxi schedule to pick up at 5:30 can we delay it until 5:45 maybe the rain will stop by then because my street is completely flooded and I am not sure I can get out to the car?” I said. The voice answers, “I am pretty close to you and it’s flooded every where so I’ll work my way there. It might take me a little bit. But we’ll figure something out.” “Ok, we’ll see you soon” I say. When Meghan hears me enter she runs crying "Tim's teasing me and I'm hungry." I ask the kids, "Why didn't you feed her?" Tim responds, "she didn't say she was hungry." Pat runs up from the basement and reminds me I have to take him to guitar practice now or he'll be late.
As we are on our way towards California our car starts to slow down by itself. We were in the middle of nowhere with no one around, because we are taking a different way. We did not want to wait in traffic. I woke everyone up and told them that our car was out of gas. “How could this happen?” said Catherine, “How have you not noticed?” I did not know how to answer her question. We looked at a map that we had in the car. We started to push it toward the nearest main road. We saw others broken down on the side of the road. They had a flat tire so, we decided to help. In return we were able to get some of their gas that they had. It was already getting dark so we pulled over on the side of the road. We made the tent and fell asleep. Catherine asked, “Will we make it out of this?” I replied, “ We will found out

Arriving at Lacey’s house I walk to the backdoor letting myself into the house. Lacey was putting on tanning lotion in the kitchen, “Lacey,” I called to her, “my mom wants me to pick up snacks for the beach, do you want to go into town with me?”, “Sure,” she replied, “do you mind if my cousin comes with us?”, “Of course I don’t mind,“ I answered, “but we have to get moving, my dad only left me the car to use ‘til noon.”
On a cold winter's night as snow begins to descend from the heavens a young woman walks out of a lodging house in the small town of Eastmore. The woman Mary Edwards steps out into the street and starts walking to the church located in the center of the town. As Mary is making her way to the church she hears the sound of someone crying. Mary stops dead in her tracks and looks at the surrounding area to see if she can find the source of the crying. Mary finds a little girl sitting down beside a pile of trash in an alleyway her eyes filled with tears and the dress she is wearing is torn and ripped. Mary walks over to the little girl and gains her attention by tapping her on her shoulder. “Little one are you ok,” Mary questions? The girl ignores
As Monday morning rolled along, Molly gathered all her stuff at the door and yelled for her parents to hurry or she’d be late to catch the bus at school. With all her things stacked in the trunk of the car, her dad could hardly see past her purple suitcase in the rearview mirror, yet that didn't stop him from driving. When Molly and her family pulled up to the parking lot, it was packed with other seniors and their families, they had to park at the back near the entrance gate which was farther away from the bus she needed to go
“Mykell!Wake up my mom said.We are going to Disney. When I heard that I got right up.Running to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Then I said MOM I am almost ready. While I was packing my bag I was thinking how much fun we were going to have, but I did not know what kind of adventure we are going to have. Starting to run to the car I noticed that I was the only one almost at the car.
I woke up to the sound of my mom calling my name. ‘’Just five more minutes,’’ I said as I pulled the covers over my head. ‘’We’re going to Yosemite.’’ my mom said. My mom finally dragged me out of bed. I trudged into the bathroom and then brushed my teeth and got dressed. ‘’Well look who got up.’’ my grandma yelled. My sister ruffled my hair. ‘’Hey bro.’’ my sister said sitting down for breakfast. I went and joined her. “Do you want cereal or french toast?” asked my grandma. “I’ll have cereal please.” I said. We all ate breakfast and packed some backpacks with waters and got on the road by 8:30. My sister sang a song I didn’t recognize. “What song is that?” I asked. “Heart of gold” she replied. “Never heard of it” I said. We pulled up to the
Dad tried to give the guard twenty dollars, but he refused. Dad shook his hand and thanked him several times. I could go on and on about the rest of our trip but it would take another twenty pages. Unfortunately this was not the last outburst my father had at Disney World. I can tell you one more thing. Through the chaos Dad finally made it to It’s a Small World with his family. It was the biggest smile he showed through the whole trip, but it wasn’t his last. We have been to Disney World twice since then. We still always ride It’s a Small World and I always bring cotton balls for my ears. The cotton keeps my arms from getting tired.
I am going into event planning, in the sector of the hospitality industry. Event planning industry is on the rise and is not glued to one specific genre, hence, there are several to choose from. Event planning is needed for all sorts of occasions such as, birthday parties, weddings, fundraisers, product launches, concerts, anniversaries, fashion shows, conferences, graduations, business meetings, and much more! It is an industry that will never stop growing and improving. Specifically, an event planner job includes working with clients, creating a positive self-image, networking with clients, and personal and financial gain.
Rolling waves gently brushed upon the sand and nipped softly at my toes. I gazed out into the oblivion of blue hue that lay before me. I stared hopefully at sun-filled sky, but I couldn’t help but wonder how I was going to get through the day. Honestly, I never thought in a million years that my daughter and I would be homeless. Oh, how I yearned for our house in the suburbs. A pain wrenched at my heart when I was once reminded again of my beloved husband, Peter. I missed him so much and couldn’t help but ask God why he was taken from us. Living underneath Pier 14 was no life for Emily and me. I had to get us out of here and back on our feet. My stomach moaned angrily. I needed to somehow find food for us, but how? Suddenly, something slimy brushed up against my leg and pierced my thoughts. I jumped back and brushed the residue of sand of my legs. What was that? As my eyes skimmed the water in front of me, I noticed something spinning in the foam of the waves. Curiosity got the best of me and I went over to take a closer look. The object danced in the waves and eventually was coughed out onto the beach. “Emily!” I called to my eight-year-old daughter who was, at that time, infatuated with a seashell that she found earlier that day. “Come here and see this! Mommy found something.” Although I had no idea what that something was and I definitely didn’t know it would change my life forever.
I am planning a trip to my dream destination, the United Kingdom! I have always dreamed of going to London and exploring all of the beautiful landscapes the country has to offer. On my voyage I will be accompanied by my boyfriend, Damian, and my younger sister, Taylor. Before we can begin our journey we have to do the proper research so our trip will be everything we want it to be.
My most memorable trip was the day I went to the Children 's Memorial Hospital to meet my baby brother. Meeting my brother was an indelible moment because I had never felt such happiness and love for someone. On our way there, I also got to create a bond with both my parents and learn how to be a better happier person. At the time I was sixteen years old and was going through a stage where I felt depressed and that’s why the day I arrived at the hospital to meet my brother I felt this warmth in my heart that made me feel happy again.
