The Parent trap that came out in 1998 is an adventure, comedy, and drama remake of the 1961 Hayley Mills version. It is a Disney classic that is not only family oriented and heartwarming, but humorous as well. Though it fits the title as a children's movie, it is one that all ages may enjoy. Whether you like the original Parent Trap or not, it is not hard to enjoy the remake. It tends to bring out emotions with the instantaneous bond between the twins and their parents. Lindsay Lohan plays the dual role of Hallie and Annie with great simplicity. The directors, Meyers and Shyer, have the perfect combination of comedy and romance to keep the hearts of the younger audience, while continuing to keep it profound. The directors did an outstanding job keeping the audience on their feet and excited for what is to come.
The story begins when two twins, Hallie and Annie, are separated at birth and coincidentally attend the very same summer camp eleven and a

half years later. Hallie lives with her father on the residence of his beautiful Napa Valley vineyard, and Annie lives with her mother in the middle of Central London, where she designs wedding dresses. The girls automatically have a rivalry between them due to their identical appearance, which leads them to performing practical jokes against each other in an intense manner. Ultimately the girls’ behavior gets them into trouble, resulting with them living together in an isolated cabin for the remainder of the summer camp. When all's said and done, the girls finally speak, only to find out information that leads up to them being twins. This movie has an outstanding plot, though it is unrealistic. I have watched this movie a countless number of times, and to this day, it will never get old to me. It is safe to say that you will not get bored throughout the movie, and will be kept waiting to see what is next to come. Don’t be surprised when you begin to feel various emotions all throughout the movie. One minute you may be filled with laughter, and the next you might feel rather teary eyed. As soon as everything comes together you can’t help but feel joy and happiness right along with the characters. Hallie and Annie initiate a scheme to bring their parents back together once more. Their plan is to swap places, which allows them to meet the other parent whom they have never met. Later when the stunt is discovered, the once married couple will have no choice but to meet face to face to un-swap the girls. The two of them memorize every little detail about one another for the remainder of the time at camp. When the moment they have been imagining their whole life is finally here, the scene has an emotional effect to it. Each of them falls in love with their parent instantly. The happy occasion for Hallie and Annie quickly comes to a halt when they find out crucial information that may ruin their whole plan. As they devise tactics to separate their father and his new fiance, Meredith, the movie is at it’s comical peak. Another impressive aspect out of the many, is the director's choice of actors/actresses.The Parent Trap includes many different characters who all play a very exciting role in this film. Whether it’s the scheming twins, or the two butlers falling head over heels for eachother, you will not be disappointed. Each and every one of them fits their role to a T. The movie wouldn’t be the same if any of the characters were not present. From this point in the movie, the stories main focus is the relationship of the girls and the impersonations that they are role playing. Meyers did a fantastic job on presenting the visual illusion, that Lindsay Lohan is in reality playing the role of Hallie as well as Annie. They are shown together all throughout the movie, thanks to her body double and some major CGI effects. After finding that out and looking back at a few scenes you would still envision a Lindsay Lohan twin. Lohan had perfected both British and American accents to play the roles of the twins, and used somewhat flawed accents when the girls swapped places. It was eventually time to tell the girl's’ mother the half truth about the swap. Surely she instructs that the girls needed to go back to their original home. Hallie and Annie’s new scheme is to bring their mother to the hotel which their father is getting remarried at, in hopes to terminate the wedding. It is not surprising that Elizabeth would be furious to discover that not only is Nick engaged to a horrific woman, but he had no idea that the girls were switched, let alone that she would be at the same hotel as him. Before they are bound to get swapped back, they have one more plan to re-create their parents first date, while terrorizing Meredith. It is to both Nick and Elizabeth's surprise that their love could be rekindled.
In the end of the movie the two get re-married and incorporate Hallie and Annie into the wedding. Another great aspect of this movie that had an effect on the audience is the music. The soundtrack that is playing throughout the movie does a fantastic job at making you feel each heartwarming scene. For example, the opening scene that consists of Elizabeth and Nick’s first date has the song L-O-V-E playing. Not only is the setting romantic, but the song presents love and happiness. It’s hard not to sing along with the music.
Overall the “new” Parent Trap is a wonderful movie that can be watched with the whole family. All of the criteria that make it a fantastic movie was absolutely well thought out. It could have gone one of two ways, being that there was already a parent trap filmed in 1961. Without a doubt the new version ended up being a big time hit. I think that The Parent Trap will continue to be a popular movie even in the years to
come.
The expansion of the Internet infrastructure across the world, has brought an increased audience. Which has provided expanded markets for businesses and exploited new opportunities. There are virtually countless social sites and media used by individuals to access and share experiences , content, insights, and perspectives. Parents today tend to believe they should spy on their kids online activity. I argue parents should respect the privacy of a child's social life and his/her internet activity.

In the movie the Color Purple written by Alice Walker and directed by Steven Spielberg the opening scene was my one of my favorites because they were so happy together and it was just a really cheerful scene. I like this scene because it showed how happy Celie and Nettie were together and that those two were the only ones that were super happy with each other. When times got rough it showed that they were there for each other and they could make the best out of any situation that came along. This is one of my favorites because it kind of reminds me of my sister and I because we are close and we would do anything for each other this scene just makes you really happy and feel good about life and everything like that which makes it feel like this scene is almos...
Personally I think both the movies were good, but if I had to pick my favorite it would have to be the remake one. I just think it is more relatable and I defiantly like Hough playing Ariel better than Singer. Also I think Ren actor was a better choice as well. I think Wormald fit the role very well. The 1984 will always be the classic Footloose, but so will the remake version. I would recommend both movies to any age. I think the kids will love to sing along to this classic musical

The movie mainly focuses on the love story of Daisy and Gatsby. The director shows the theme of love through scenes, like flashbacks, spoken dialogue, music, and through the characters. Out of all of the elements, Luhrmann’s choice of music really captured the essence of an epic love. “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey was a song that can be heard multiple times throughout the movie, this song provokes feeling and really sets up the mood of a love story. At the scene where Gatsby sees Daisy for the first time in five years and he shows her around his house, “Young and Beautiful” is played, as the viewer sees Daisy falling for Gatsby once again. In addition to the music, many scenes in the movie attributed to theme of love. In the first flashback scene of Daisy and Gatsby, when Nick learns about sir past, the viewer can see Gatsby and Daisy talking, obviously flirting. According to Jordan, Gatsby looked at Daisy “the way every girl wants to be looked at”. Then Daisy is shown reading a letter from Gatsby after not hearing from him for years, and she gets extremely upset. Daisy was about to marry another man, this scene showed that she was probably still in love with Gatsby at that time, but couldn’t have him. When Gatsby and Daisy see each other for the first time in five years, the camera is in on a close-up, letting the viewer see their connection and love for each other, clearly showing they miss each other. Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays Gatsby, and Carey Mulligan, who plays Daisy, successfully portray the chemistry these two characters have. The montage of Gatsby showing Daisy his house, shows a variety of moments between Daisy and Gatsby rekindling their love for each other. The viewer later find out, by the narration of Nick Caraway, that Gatsby has had this grand dream of living happier ever after with Daisy since he met her. It’s discovered that Gatsby has many fallacies of what
My wife has watched this movie probably over 100 times. She says it is such a great love story with great dancing and music. Well, I do agree with her it does have a lot of great upbeat music that matches each scene, and I am not one to watch musicals films. The tempo of the movie is really impressive for its time. Critics seem to write that it was rare for the era. Written and produced in 1952, and showcased some of the best actors of its day.
