The time of flossing will also depend on the person doing it. Since there is no specific time of when to floss, you can pick anytime of the day when you have a couple of minutes to spare for your dental flossing. There are people who would choose to floss before they brush their teeth, and there are also those who choose to floss after they brush. Some would also floss their teeth in the morning, some during lunch, while some at bedtime depending on their most convenient free time. Ok let’s talk about flossing. Flossing also helps to remove the plaque that forms on your teeth, it removes the plaque from the areas where the toothbrush cannot reach, and this areas are along the gum line and between your teeth. And as I already said, if we do not remove this plaque, guess what, we will end up with decay and infected gums.

Flossing is a very important companion to regular brushing because it is the one procedure that really gets to clean between the teeth, removing minuscule food scraps that could have gotten stuck there. Why is it necessary? To prevent the proliferation of bacteria and plaque which in turn can cause halitosis (bad breath) and tooth decay.

In conclusion, its recommended that patients brush two-three times a day two minutes long to insure that most of the bacteria is removed from the teeth,gums, and tongue also. Flossing after every meal should also be done regularly because of left foods that get stuck between the teeth. There are many kinds of toothpaste, but not all contain fluorine. Its important that you chose on that does have fluorine because it rebuild tooth enamel and strengthen the tooth too.
