Joy [noun]: the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying. Some may say joy can be found in the craziest of places, but whats widely known is that joy is found in everything we do. For me, joy can be found in the little things; the things that get overlooked, and the things that most people don't find to be enjoyable at all. Joy is something we as human beings use to cope with hard times, mistakes, and even sadness. Although joy can be found in different ways, everybody’s way to find it is unique. Rocky Road with a side of laughter. A little thing that brings joy to my life is ice cream runs. Something as simple as getting ice cream creates this sense of joy because I’m doing it with friends and family. Spending summer nights with my friends was always great, it was even better when we would drive over to Willshire and order some ice cream. We’d laugh and joke over the silliest things and I’d always remember those moments by what we were doing: getting ice cream. Brisk mornings waking up from an endless night of laughter and great quality talks with amazing friends. These are the mornings I live for. Waking up super early to catch the morning sunrise; struggling to get up but in the end it’s so worth it. Struggling to make a cup of coffee to give you that small amount of energy you need to make it through the day. Then you step outside to find your feet soaked in the fresh morning dew, and you begin to feel your feet start to get colder and colder.
