Do you believe in true love? would you break your family up due to a different color baby? There are a lot of people in this world so everyone has a different perspective on true love. many people go thru different situations in their relationship so they do say true love is a legit thing or another may go thru a rough relationship and end their relationship or simply don't find someone and say true love isn't real. All love stories are acceptable nowadays but in the 19th century you couldn't be in a interracial relationship, due to the fact that slaves weren't the same as whites. The concept was that all whites with whites and all blacks with blacks. If a black or white woman gave birth to a mixed baby it was most likely that baby would be abandoned or not accepted into society and in some cases killed so no one knows how much of a disgrace that baby is. People that believe in true love say it's a special emotion towards someone that makes you feel some type of way, that no one else makes you feel. Prejudice in the twenty first century isn't as bad as in the nineteenth century, 45 years after they legalized interracial marriages more and more marriages have occurred of this type. As interracial marriages become more common more people accept this type of marriage. Couples in these relationships have more freedom to wander around in public without being arrested.
Although you won't be arrested some couples are still criticised for different skin colors. In parts of the United States where whites are the popular race is where interracial relationships are most likely to be criticised due to the whites old fashion way of living. In other words, their strong beliefs of no one race should be able to marry someone of another race.
