The sleigh bells are ringing early here in Reading, Pennsylvania. The holiday season seems to have started full swing and it is only November! After visiting the Berkshire Mall over the weekend, the people here have never been more ready for Santa.
With Christmas being a little over a month away, and Thanksgiving right around the corner spirits here are high. The Berkshire Mall halls have been decked, with garland intertwined with lights strung from each side of the ceiling. There are trees in stores like, Sears, Boscov's, and even Express had their share of lights illuminating the front window. When walking into other shops like, Victoria’s Secret, Hollister, Claire's, and Five Below, the winter and holiday shipments of products and clothing have been put onto the shelves. The recurring theme of Christmas trees, snowflakes, presents, and just red and green holiday patterns cover the clothing. Stockings, Christmas socks, and even Holiday decorations are up for sale, drawing the attention of every Christmas lover in sight. …show more content…

After talking to Nikki Aquino who is fourteen years old and Olivia Conrow who is thirteen, it is clear that the jolly mood is to a new extreme in the younger generation too. “ I love Christmas time,” said Nikki Aquino, “it’s my favorite time of year.” The two girls had been smiling brighter than a young child on Christmas morning. Miss Aquino and Conrow had gotten into the Christmas spirit early this year, “We’ve been listening to Christmas music since October,” Olivia Conrow confessed. Nikki and Olivia also told us their Christmas oriented plans for that night saying, “ We’re going to watch Christmas movies on Netflix and probably listen to Christmas music.” These two young ladies are encouraging the Christmas spirit all
