Selfishness has been misconstrued in our hearts. The literal definition of selfishness is to be a person lacking consideration for others; being concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure. This definition does not sound lighthearted and favorable; that is the point. What being a little selfish look like for you? Is it no outside influence on Sundays? Is it after I leave workI will not take calls from work? A mixture of everything? How you are a little selfish is up to you - you only. It is OK to be a little selfish and put yourself first. It is not OK to be self absorbed and entitled. There are three things to remember that will help you stay on the correct side of the line; empathy, respect, and thankfulness.
