Friends
In this world, the most significant thing is to have friends, and on earth everyone has a friend. It’s a normal thing, because from kindergarten we start knowing people in school and they become our friends. A friend is a person who you enjoy being accompanied by, or a person who supports someone in happiness and sorrow. Friends are important to have in our life because they are like a family to everyone who values them. In this world sometimes things get worse in life, and friends are the first people to be considered after the family to help out. They are always there for you whenever you’re in need. However, how can we describe friendship? The meaning of friendship is confusing because in every group there are different ways of

Your best friend knows everything behind-the-scenes about you and can forecast what you’re going to do before you do it. You spend time out in the same group of friends and share a lot of ordinary things together. You can know one another’s personality traits, and when your friend wants to say something to you, sometimes you already know. When your best friend is not around you, you feel like something is missing and you are bored. You constantly worry if your best friend is fine or not and start planning when you two will be together and have fun next. A preeminent example is a relationship with my best friend, Hajira. We have known each other since we were in Africa. She came to America five years ago, before me, and when I came to America our friendship was still the same; she helped me until I adapted the American …show more content…
There are three types of friends that I have experienced and were close to me, including a best friend, acquaintance friend, and spiteful friends. Every friend has a different type of character. Some friends are honest, generous, caring, and helpful, while others are arrogant, or unhelpful, like an acquaintance. Others are hateful, like a spiteful friend. No matter how they behave, as long as we are interested and comfortable with each other, we can keep them, because friends can make us strong or break us. Some of them, like acquaintances and spiteful friends may break us, but we learn a lot from them about how to be patient and socialize with different types of people in the
Webster defines friendship as the emotions or conduct of friends; the state of being friends. Growing up you realize that every relationship is tested throughout time and some make it through that time and others do not.
To be a friend has almost certainly become a role of infinite definition. Agreeing with author Joyce Xinran, after reading her article, “Friending: The Changing Definition of Friendship in the Social Media Era,” the modern idea of a friend has changed in its meaning of intimacy. People have considered no boundaries when allowing one the position of associate. The act of being mildly pleasant will promote even a stranger to the status of friend. To solve this issue people must realize that receiving a simple electronic request to be a friend is hardly mastering the technique of camaraderie.
By definition a friend is a person who provides assistance and support. We have different groups of friends for different purposes in our lives. Although there are many different categories of friends, Marion Winik author of “What are Friends For?” mentions that some of the more common groups consist of the faraway, work, family, and former friends (132). We keep our friends because we value their loyalty, communication, support, and dependability.
I would define friendship as complete trust and love between two people. Many people believe that this kind of behavior is reciprocated between two individuals without any expectations. A friend is someone who also provides you with support and whom you can rely on to celebrate special moments with. A friend also comes with many great attributes; such as loyalty, honesty, compassion, trust, and morality. Today’s friend is viewed as someone who shares happiness, common values, history, and equality with another. For example, Aristotle and Cicero both wrote dialogues about friendship and its significance on mankind. Therefore, the key issues that will be discussed are: their views on the similarities of friendship, the differences between friends,
“The silver friend knows your present and the gold friend knows all of your past dirt and glories. Once in a blue moon there is someone who knows it all, someone who knows and accepts you unconditionally, someone who is there for life.” This is a quote I read once in an article by Jill McCorkle. I wrote it down and posted on my wall. McCorkle’s description of a “gold friend” describes a friendship that I have with a group of girls who mean the world to me.
Friendship is an interpersonal relationship between two people that is mutually productive and can be characterized by mutual positive regard. Friendship should enhance the potential of each person involved and should only be productive. You must like each other in order to call it a friendship, and
There are many valuable things in life like family, sports, school but what about friendship? To live life without friendship is something no one should ever go through. Friendship is a necessity to living a successful life. Friendship occurs when someone is a supporter, gives assistance, and is attached to someone all the while genuinely taking care of them when they are hurt (The definition of friend, 1995-2002). A good and healthy friendship can be defined fro individuals as when someone has his or her own support system, a friend being loyal, and will always have genuine and mutual trust.
Friendship is the most wonderful relationship that anyone can have. Ideally a friend is a person who offers love and respect and will never leave or betray us. Friends can tell harsh truths when they must be told. There are four different types of friends: True friends, Convenient friends, Special interest friends, and historical friends. To have friendship is to have comfort. In times of crisis and depression, a friend is there to calm us and to help lift up our spirits.
When you spend time with friends you will notice that each one has a special personality that is different from anyone else. Friends have different traits and characteristics that create their individual personalities. For example, a good friend will show signs of a sense of humor, great advice, and honesty. Friends are very important to have in our lives because they are the backbone and support system when we face obstacles that are tough in our lives. Furthermore, friends are always there to love and comfort us through those hard times; showing their respect, honesty, loyalty, and care. There are three major types of friends, acquaintances, social friends, and best friends. Individuals inside of these major types has their own characteristics
On a conscious level, we rarely spend much time actually thinking about and classifying our friends. However, since I was a small child, my mother taught me to recognize and appreciate various types of friends. I have discovered that there are three different types of friends. I group them according to how well I know them and how well they know me. We encounter each type of friend everyday, whether in school, home, or at the gym. First, there are the "pest friends"- general acquaintances. Next, there are "guest friends"- social partners. Lastly, we have "best friends"- our true friends.
Friendship is a relationship that all the individuals can create by themselves. Though it is not a god gifted relationship like that of the relationship of a mother, father, sister, brother or any of the other family but still it is one of the best relations an individual can possess. People who have true friends consider themselves as the luckiest individuals on earth.
If you decide to surround yourself with negative people who don’t have anything to look forward to in life, then you’re setting yourself up to be unsuccessful. Those negative people will try their hardest to bring you down with them. Growing up in school you had your friends in 1st grade, then in Jr. High, and then when you got to high school you might not even know or see your friends from 1st grade anymore. For the few people who’s had a friend from 1st grade till college I think that someone they need to hold on to because if they stuck with you through all of them year I know they’re there for the right reason and not just there for a season. As Elizabeth Dunphy says, “It’s the little things that matter, that add up in the end, with the priceless thrilling magic found only in a friend.”
In life we come across many people. Some will hate us while others will adore us. The ones who hate us can be referred to as enemies and the ones who show us adoration are referred to as friends. There are three types of friends. They are the aquaintinces we make in school, the friends we loose as one grows, and best friends who may stray, but never too far away.
Life teaches us a lot of things. But none is a better teacher than friendship (Importance of Friendship). There is one person who knows who I really am and that is my best friend, Danny. Friendship is a special love. Finding a true friend is always hard. So when one is found, it is important to hang on tight. The greatest gift of life is friendship, and I have received it. Growing up, I was the girl that was confident, strong, and had all the answers. No one had fully ever understood me or my actions, I was constantly on the move, keeping myself busy with any task or activity I could get my hands on, and I never told anyone the entire truth to why that was. My appearance to always seeming assured, formidable and dependable could be imputed to one prevailing time period, but was separated into hundreds of different memories of my past, each with their cause and effect. However, it started with one substantial hit, afflicting me in my teenage years.
A best friend does not back away from you when you think you’ve lost it. Those are the times that a best friend is always there for. A best friend is someone with whom you’ve shared your most intimate secrets with, and laughed the loudest. She probably knows you better than anyone you can think of, definitely better than your parents, and sometimes better than you know yourself. She has seen you at your worst, and helped you be your best. A best friend is not afraid to tell you the truth. A lot of research has been done looking into the benefits of friendship, and the research has found exactly what you might expect. It turns out that the better quality relationships you have; the more likely you are to be happy. Therefore it’s good for your
