The Netherlands vs. Deerania The Kingdom of the Netherlands and Deerania have many similarities as well as differences between each other. For instance, Deerania is a lot bigger, but they are both quite dense-although The Netherlands is even denser because of its small size compared to its large population. Since the Netherlands is so dense, there are even three times as many bikes as there is as cars (to keep road traffic down)! They also use boats to get to work and travel. Deerania also uses boats as common traffic.
The main difference between The Netherlands and Deerania are the changes in geography and climate, which is mainly affected by where the country is located. Deerania is near the equator, at 28°N, while The Netherlands is way

Athena, the Greek goddess of both wisdom and war, is often considered the craftiest of all Olympian gods. She was born of a headache, and erupted from Zeus’ head fully armed and ready for battle. However, beside all this pomp, she is a rather caring, if war-loving, immortal. Throughout the entirety of The Odyssey she conveys an entirely platonic, almost motherly love for Odysseus. It is this that makes her significant character in Homer’s work. In The Odyssey, Athena is portrayed as a, if not the, major female figure throughout the entire epic poem. With her affection for Odysseus and her frequent appearances she plays a major role throughout the entire poem. Evidence of this integral role will be presented as proof of her importance to the story.
Egypt and Mesopotamia; two different civilizations that were similar in some ways, as well as different. They had their difference of their geographical location, as well as their different aspects of life. Prior to the 1650’s, the Dutch Republic was the wealthiest and most powerful province in Holland through Amsterdam, the leading force in trade and banking. Many European nations were jealous of their success and wanted it for themselves which resulted in conflicts between the Dutch and many European powers. As a result, the Dutch Republic entered a period of decline until the Peace of Utrecht of 1713. The expensive wars with England and France, decline in trade and distrust between the Dutch provinces led to challenges in security, unity and prosperity of the Republic.
Athena was the Greek Goddess of many ideas, but she was famous mostly for her superior wisdom, her cunning skills in times of war, and her implausible talent for household tasks, such as weaving and pottery. She was celebrated more than any other God in ancient mythology, was the supposed inventor of countless innovations, and her figure gave reason for Greek woman to gain rights long before others of their time. The goddess of war, the guardian of Athens, and the defender of Heroes; Athena’s impact on the lives of Ancient Greeks is outstanding.

The Mark of Athena, written by Rick Riordan, is a thrilling, suspenseful, and action packed book about seven demigods going on a dangerous quest to save the world. The seven main characters are Percy, the son of Poseidon, Jason, the son of Zeus, Annabeth, the daughter of Athena, Piper, the daughter of Aphrodite, Frank, the son of Mars, Leo, the son of Hephaestus, and Hazel, the daughter of Pluto. All of these seven demigods are a mix between Roman and Greek demigods. Since ancient history, the Romans and Greeks have hated each other. But in order to complete their quest, both Romans and Greeks must overcome their differences. The plot summary of the story starts out with Leo. Women in the ancient world had few rights, they differed from country to country or, in the case of the women of Athens and Sparta, from city-state to the city-state. The women of the city-states of Athens and Sparta had profound differences in their roles in the political and the daily lives of their families and their cities. When it came to the difference in levels of power and the rights of women, Sparta was a leader in its time. At the same time, their rights as citizens were almost the same. While they did not take an active part in politics, they had opinions and ideas like women all over the world. Their thoughts, deeds, and opinions rarely recorded or if they were, the male historians or philosophers of the time recorded them. What were roles did the women in ancient Athens and Sparta? Were they citizens, did they have personal freedoms? On the other hand, did they in a time when the beginnings of democracy were happening were they less than a second-class citizen? The misogyny and patriarchal societies continued throughout the ancient and classical periods only beginning to change in the Hellenistic era.

The Jews were able to fit it with the Dutch because of their common skills and merchant based economy. Even though Jews made up only one and a half percent of the Dutch population, four to six percent of the major stockholders for Dutch West India Company and Bank of Exchange were owned by Jews. Jews especially liked the Netherlands because of their focus on the economy rather than religion. The Netherlands were religiously tolerant which greatly impacted the Jews’ desire to be there. The Netherlands were such a good place for the Jews that German Ashkenazis moved there as well. In the Netherlands, a Jewish government was set up, called the Mahamad, which was led by the most important Jews in the community. Throughout history there have been many great civilizations however recording all the history of each civilization is a difficult task.
