Introduction In today’s society, high school students have a hard time transiting into college life making it difficult for them for them to grow and mature as an individual. Some people mature faster than others. As people begin to mature in life, they start understanding a lot about themselves, like their values, ethics, sexual orientation and ethnicity. They try to create a mature relationship with people, giving them the ability to build a healthy relationship and based on trust and honesty. She was had a hard time accepting with her caucasian side, she struggled with having a relationship with her father and her boyfriend, because they both are caucasian. She is afraid how society will look at her, because she recognizes and accepts her African American side but not her caucasian side. Sam is trying to figure out how to use her power since she is head of house. He would try to hold her hand Sam would scream and pull her hand back when she was younger. She was the dominate person in her relationship with her white boyfriend, Gabe, for example when they was making out in the room she told him to get on his knees and he did. Sam acted like she was interested in Reggie because he’s the only black eligible guy on campus. Later on in the movie, Sam found out that Reggie had rigged the election votes to make her win and was immediately suspended from head of house. Towards the end of the movie Sam embraced the fact that she is bi-racial, she create a healthy, intimate relationship with her boyfriend Gabe.
