It is not sure to say and find the exact reason why did students like Mr. Keating’s class. Was the reason caused the class was different from other classes or because of Mr. Keating’s kindness? Probably all of them were the reason.
One day, Todd and his friends found Dead Poets Society which used to be a secret club activity. They asked Mr. Keating what DPS is and revived that club. The club made chances of their growth. Neil found his talent and dream; Knox met his ideal type girl, Todd could find his courage, and etc. However, their growth did not only come alone, but also with challenges. His life is his own, but not his father’s. Even though he did well in the play and study, his father did not know his endeavor just like these lyrics. However, does ‘Best for Me’ which is the title of the song fit his story? I think not. He tried to do his best for his father. “I got nothing to prove. I got no one to please. I do what's best for me. (Best for me)” It does not fit his story. I just choose this part because I want him to think like this. Neil was doing well, and his father and he should know his endeavor.
