It is happening everyday, it is all over the news, and it has become a worldwide issue. Global warming is one of the problematic and controversial issues facing the world today. The news about this current world issue has dire predictions about the future since it is affecting our planet. Global warming is no longer a myth that many people have made up, but it is a real disaster that is affecting the world. Global warming refers to the change in climate, which can be attributed directly or not directly to human activity, which alters the composition of the global atmosphere by the earth overheating. Many researchers believe that, global warming is caused by human activities, for instance the emission green house gases to the atmosphere. The debate on global warming has, to its detriment, long stopped being a scientific one; instead, it has become human caused. Is global warming a natural cause or man-made? This essay will discuss the problem of global warming, the causes and suggest the best ways to solve this controversial issue. The factors responsible for global warming are both natural, and man-made. Many of the causes of global warming are human activities, which contribute to green house gas emissions in the atmosphere. The increase in greenhouse emissions in the atmosphere reinforces the green house effect, which later leads to global warming. The largest contributor to global warming is carbon dioxide, as it holds the largest part of green house gases in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide emissions are caused by human activities. The emissions from non-stop burning of fossil fuels release carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Another cause of global warming is the excessive cutting down of trees. Humans can limit activities that emit green house gases in the atmosphere, and this will help in reducing the increase in the earth’s temperature.
