There are hundreds of detectives and cops around the world. Each one has a different area that they like to work in. And each one of these people want to serve justice. But the real question is, how far would someone go to serve justice? Would someone die while trying their hardest? What about going so far as to lose a friend or family member? What about becoming a murderer in order to ensure justice?
In the movie 21 Jump Street, Schmidt and Jenko are best friends and cops. They are put on a mission to find the supplier of a new drug at a high school. The friends try and get close to the dealer in order to meet the supplier and arrest him. When they are getting ready, the guys promise each other that they would risk their lives for each other. When they go try to arrest the supplier, a firefight breaks out and Jenko jumps in front of two bullets for his friend. After this Schmidt says he would take a bullet any day for him. So both characters would die in order to serve justice. Charley Hill in the novel The Rescue Artist, is an art detective. The Scream, a painting worth more than one million dollars, is stolen. The police knew who to put on the case immediately. They called Hill, who of course had already heard about the robbery and had started investigating on his own. He started tracking down a man who he knew had pulled off one of the biggest art thefts in history. Two men on a crosswalk trapped and shot at another man also in the street. Bill hid behind a car and called the police while the men tried to get away. He followed the car they drove to an alley where he soon realizes was where they hid their guns. The guns were retrieved and one man arrested, the other got away. He had his gun ready and thought he could shoot the men, but decided that he would call for help and pursue the men in his car. He was willing to shoot two men in order to make sure justice was served.
