Leadership is an important part of any organization. The role of a leader is to show path to every member of the organization so that they can achieve the objective in an efficient and effective manner. The success or a failure of the said project depends upon the traits and skills of a leader. Along with the traits and skills, there are several other elements that also affect the efficiency of a leader. The books and journals are full of concepts and theories of leadership that are very effective and help a leader in leading the project efficiently. With respect to the project of Ministry of Health, the leadership has been very effective. The leader has not only shown the right path to the employees, but he also helped

It claims that all leaders have inborn capabilities to lead an organization. In this way, it suggests that leadership skills can’t be developed. But now the time has been changed and with the change in time a number of leadership theories have been evolved (Gopee, 2014). It is the result of changes in environment and market condition a number of theories of leadership have been developed by scholars and researchers.
There are different leadership styles and theories. These leadership traits and skills are based on several theories of leadership that are behavioral theory, trait theory, contingency theory and situational theories. These types of theories are again divided into a number of theories that are forming a great place in Ministry of Health UAE. The contingency theory is very relevant to an organization and it has so many theories in it (Binney, 2005). This theory is based on the assumption that a leader has to face contingencies and in that time he has to show his skills by handling the situation in a proper manner. These theories are Cognitive resource theory and Fielder’s least preferred theory (also known as LPC theory). There are several instances when the condition in Ministry of health has been very critical and the leader has

The Path-Goal leadership style suggests that leaders play a very important role in defining the path of success for the followers. In this the leader is aware about the goals of the organization. At the same time leader has a clear understanding about the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the organization (Grint, 2005). In the Ministry of Health, the leader was aware about all these matters and he also departed this knowledge to the employees so that they can also know the path in which they have to move. The followers were briefed about the long term goals as well as short term goals of the Ministry of Health UAE. In this manner they are clear about what roles they are expected to play. After that the leaders help followers in achieving those goals by making the clear path. The leader has also made it clear to all the stakeholders about the goal of the organization and the made a clear path to achieve that goal. Thus, Path –Goal leadership model comprises four elements basically. These elements are employee contingencies, environmental contingencies, leader behaviors and leader effectiveness (As shown in Figure 4). The leader in Ministry of Health has used four leaders’ behaviors, according to the contingencies. These four behaviors are directive, supportive, and participative and achievement oriented. All these behaviors have different results. A leader must
My impression of leadership is the ability to motivate, inspire, set a visualization, connect, and lead by example. To become a successful leader you have to be able to convince your followers that you are trustworthy of being followed. During this semester, we have learned many, if not all of the major leadership theories and how they play a role in our everyday lives. But personally, a few of these leadership models caught me and intrigued me the whole semester so much that this paper is going to predominately be referenced about them. For example, the proposed framework that organizes leadership theories based on each theory 's focus and approach. Focus is referred to as whether or not leadership is viewed as a set of traits or actions.
Leaders are actively on targeting goals and objectives for the people who work for them. In management, many goals are established by staffs and carried out by the managers themselves. Leaders will act to develop in more creative ways solve the problems; keep on going and with new missions. Managers will continue to do whatever is necessary work to accomplish the tasks and usually to get the job done without taking on too much risk or moving forward. The leader's instinct is to take risks instead and to challenge that task holding back by people and think of new ideas within an organization. Leaders more concerned on relationship between staffs, they promote the good staff, help them to develop, and move forward. Managers assign people, focus on personnel issues; and focus on how the job task get done, how they solve it, and how are they finished. (Rashid A., A., 2007).
1. Leadership is not only a talent. It is also a science that it can be taught, 2. Mobilizing others is the key world of leadership theory. Inspiration is the basic tool that a leader can use, 3. Leadership is not dictatorship. It is a common effort that aims to a common goal, 4. ethics is a significant issue in leadership theory, 5. leadership is interesting to the feelings of the employees who work in a project. People are not numbers but personalities with particular characteristics and wishes, 6. a leader does not need types to be respected by the employees. He gains them with his personality and they follow him because they agree with his recommendations and they trust him.
Goal attainment: Leadership involves goal attainment. It includes attention to goals and directs a group of individuals towards accomplishing a defined task or goal.
The leadership is a result of a combination of traits, with special emphasis on the personal qualities of the leader, which he should possess certain personality traits that would be special facilitators in leadership performance. This theory shows that leaders are born as such, there is no likelihood of 'making' them later with personal development techniques.
The role of leadership has become increasing valuable for organizations to be successful. According to Huber (2014), Leadership can best be defined as method utilized to ensure that an objective is completed. There are many different types of leaderships that can be found within each organization. In this paper I will highlight an example of a specific leadership style that we come across in healthcare settings. I will review my leadership self-assessment results and discuss the impact of leadership on staff and groups.
There are many different skill sets and leadership styles to be effective as a manager. People are interested in knowing what strategies are effective in healthcare management. Importance of Leadership A manager’s leadership style must influence staff and others to take them seriously. A manager sets the tempo for the employees’ work ethic. Effective leadership from healthcare managers is important to the modern healthcare reform (Kumar, 2013).
The leadership is a privilege and it is such a privilege and an honor which will carry the tremendous responsibility which will inspire others to direct them to accomplish goals and vision of the organization. Leadership is about influencing the people, by producing direction, purpose and motivating in order to accomplish the mission, vision and improving the organization. The leadership philosophy is evolved based on the experiences, both positive and negative, in most of the initiatives and activities that we undertake. It is also one among the collaboration and teamwork within which the team members can utilize each other’s strengths to counter the weaknesses of the individuals. By observing, introspecting and experimenting we can developed a leadership paradigm which is inclusive, collaborative and proactive. We can develop the ability to recognize which will approach in order to reach the productive conclusion. The great leaders know their limitations and are capable at utilize their strengths and also the strengths of others to compensate.
For example, under this theory the leader would employ High Directive/High Support leadership behaviors to the Disillusioned Learner. Ideally, the leader helps the followers as they progress through the stages to achieve the Self-Reliant Achiever/Delegating level. While I do not necessarily fully subscribe to the theory, it does seem to have merit and I do believe that it is important for an effective leader to have the capability and flexibility to adapt his or her style to the needs of the followers in order to encourage everyone’s success. I also believe that an effective leader plays a significant role in promoting and molding individuals’ readiness as it relates to motivation and commitment. As such, I developed my leadership assessment with these points in mind. The assessment focuses on 14 attributes that I believe are important not only for a leader to be successful within the parameters of the SLT, but...
”Leadership involves the exhibition of style or behavior by managers or supervisors while dealing with subordinates; leadership is a critical determinant of the employees ' actions toward the achievement of the organizational goals” (Saeed, Almas, Anis-ul-Haq, & Niazi, 2014). Leadership is a strength that initiates, inspires, and guides the cooperation and attitudes of others on the way to set vision. Leadership is influential and involves several styles of approaches that involve trust, accomplishment and focus to reach a projected result. Using and implementing the ideas of others motivates new thinking and gains the confidence to build the trust and encourage everyone to work to the same goals (Northouse,
Finally, leadership results in the followers’ behavior, that is purposeful and goal-directed which must be in some organized setting (Leadership Theories and Studies, 2009). Some people believe leadership and management are one in the same; however, this
We can divide the theories that deal with leadership in 3 chronological groups. First were the trait theories. Until the 1940's, research in the field of leadership was dominated by these theories. Second came the behavioral theories which were very influent until the late 1960's. Finally, contingency theories are the most modern theories about leadership.

One of the first approaches to leadership is the leadership trait theory that people are born with certain character traits. The theory assumes that people are born as leaders or not as leaders because the traits are considered to be naturally part of a person 's personality. The basic idea behind trait theory is that effective leaders are born, not made. The trait theory was used in the 1930s,
Leadership, without doubt, is a significantly important function of management. It helps to aggrandize efficiency and to fulfil an organization’s goals. Leadership is the ability of a manager to induce the subordinates to work with confidence, determination, courage and zeal. It is also defined as ability to influence a group towards the realization of a goal. Leaders should have the capability of developing future visions, and to drive the organizational members to want to attain the visions. This paper states my points in which I duly believe, justifies the importance of an outstanding leader in any organization.
