The Swamp
Footsteps slowly creaked on every step of the stairs. the bedroom door handle turned slowly.”it's all ogre now” a strange voice said. Suddenly it began to smell like onions. i instantly sprinted under the bed. The door opened and someone with brown shoes walked in. he didn't seem to notice i was under the bed. After about two minutes of looking, he finally left from the room and the house. A day passed and he didn't come. A week passed and no one came. A month passed. And another month passed and another.. then one day, the entire house started to shake, and I thought it was an earthquake, so i ran under my bed. the smell of onions filled the house once again. There was a strong gust outside, and the door flew open. i assumed it was the strong winds that had opened it but then something happened. A strong voice began to laugh. “hahahahahahaha!” Whatever this was walked into my room and sat on the bed. my dog splash, walked into the room and walked towards this thing. He seemed to be interested in whatever it was. I felt a sneeze coming on and tried to keep it in. After trying to hold it in for 2 minutes, “ACHUUU!!” The thing lifted up the bed and I couldn't

He knew the swamp more than anything. I heard voices coming from all around. One distinct voice kept repeating, “It's all ogre now” Reached a corner, and as I turned around it was another corner. I no longer had anywhere to run and I was out of options. he had me cornered, and i was trying to think of an idea on how to get out of there. He was about to grab me and in the corner of my eye i spotted a giant lake of oil. luckily, I had a pack of matches in my bag because I had had a cookout earlier that day. I lit ten up all together and threw them into the lake. “BOOOOOOOM”, the entire lake blew up and the swamp was now on fire. Shrek instantly fell down and began to lose strength. it seemed as the swamp began to fall, so did
The next morning he got up to make a cup of coffee. Ben was getting ready to go out to get the paper when he heard the same CRASH but it was not in the bedroom this time it was in the same room he was in. Ben was not very sure what it was or what it wants but it was very scary.
Hearing nothing except for the echoes of 'Laaa...Laaa…Laaa...Laaa...' I cautiously creep along the gory footpath to see the dead bodies lying on the grainy dirt. A chill ascends from my knees; I feel it mounting onto my waist and reaching for my heart. The stench of dead carcasses trails across the air as I approach the river. The water has turned from an aqua blue to a pale red. What has happened?
I wake up from a long night's sleep, it's dark, it may still be night. My sheets are in a slightly ruffled, but still neat mess. I look at the clock to the left of my bed, it's 5:30 in the morning. I stretch my arms out while still laying back, and as I do... my right arm brushes against something. I just felt my cat, so I pet it and roll back over to my left side to get comfortable before going back to sleep since it was the weekend, and I had a few hours before anything needed to be done. Right as I get comfortable again something shifts in my bed on the right hand side, I could hear a slight yawn from behind me as well. It was a woman's voice that I heard next. She mumbles something softly and sensing the warmth, moves over towards my back and settles back into
As I carefully entered the haunted house, the door shut behind me and me was stuck in the house. I was banging to start yelling to get out but no one heard me outside. I tried to pull out my phone to use as a light but I knew that before I came in they took it.
I firmly believe every town has its own thing. Whether it be a place or a statue, every town has that element that adds to the culture. For Tratville, it was Greenwater Lake. For as long as I can remember, I had heard multiple stories regarding the mystery of it’s murky color and revolting smell. Of course there was the common assumption of pollution.
I jumped and looked around for the source of the eery sound. That’s when I saw It. The door. I hadn’t seen It before. The door wasn’t there last night. Cautiously, I turned the handle.
The water had gotten into his shoes, soaking his feet in cool creek water. He reached for his machete to cut down the vines that had fallen from the forests tell trees. They were intertwined making the path through the jungle almost impossible. He had to move fast. His dirty hair onto his forehead as he stepped from rock to rock avoiding the water though he already drenched his boots.
I took small steps towards the dark hallway silent as a mouse I headed towards the living room door, I stopped moving. Breathing shallowly I looked
'What the heck was that?!?' is a very familiar phrase to many. Was it just the house settling? Maybe it was a friend playing a prank. Or could it possibly have been a ghost? The latter choice is normally ruled out fairly quickly. But for some, it is very plausible. To prove or disprove the possibility of an apparition, a surprisingly scientific and frequently detailed investigation is carried out.
It told me to turn into what looked like a mile-long driveway. I was finally able to make out the house it looked old and dilapidated. When I pulled up to the house I was creeped out because it looked abandoned. I was arguing with myself, asking myself if I want to go in or not. I don't what it was that got me to go up to that door.
Cliffs can be found in every direction sought on The Lake of the Woods. Everyone amazed by the beauty of the jagged rock and the reflection on the gigantic lake from tens of feet above. The sound of silence can be heard from all around. Thinking of the jump into the refreshing water gives me such a rush, bringing me back to a happier place, a better place. Everyone is antsy to voyage across the lake to the huge cliff.
We got up onto the porch and the door creaked open. We all stepped inside and we heard something or someone. We followed the sound all the way
My door opens. Opened slowly and quietly. I could feel the heavy weight of the man's footsteps above my head. It was getting heavy and heavier until…
It was dingy and it has this powerful weird smell like incense. The noises were disturbing and made the situation even more frightening. A loud continuously banging on the wall, weird growling, and a murmuring sound like they were behind us. As we walked into the gloomy corridor, a zombie just popped out of the wall. Edison held my arms on my back, facing the zombie in front of me.
I shut the door and began searching for anything strange. Nothing was out of the ordinary. The only thing that seemed to change was the curtains. They were now open, ready for business. This guy is weirder than I thought. Maybe he had a body in there I jokingly thought to myself.
