The Swamp
Footsteps slowly creaked on every step of the stairs. the bedroom door handle turned slowly.”it's all ogre now” a strange voice said. Suddenly it began to smell like onions. i instantly sprinted under the bed. The door opened and someone with brown shoes walked in. he didn't seem to notice i was under the bed. After about two minutes of looking, he finally left from the room and the house. A day passed and he didn't come. A week passed and no one came. A month passed. And another month passed and another.. then one day, the entire house started to shake, and I thought it was an earthquake, so i ran under my bed. the smell of onions filled the house once again. There was a strong gust outside, and the door flew open. i assumed it was the strong winds that had opened it but then something happened. A strong voice began to laugh. “hahahahahahaha!” Whatever this was walked into my room and sat on the bed. my dog splash, walked into the room and walked towards this thing. He seemed to be interested in whatever it was. I felt a sneeze coming on and tried to keep it in. He knew the swamp more than anything. I heard voices coming from all around. One distinct voice kept repeating, “It's all ogre now” Reached a corner, and as I turned around it was another corner. I no longer had anywhere to run and I was out of options. he had me cornered, and i was trying to think of an idea on how to get out of there. He was about to grab me and in the corner of my eye i spotted a giant lake of oil. luckily, I had a pack of matches in my bag because I had had a cookout earlier that day. I lit ten up all together and threw them into the lake. “BOOOOOOOM”, the entire lake blew up and the swamp was now on fire.
