The storm was coming in quick. Dark silky clouds covered the sky like a wave of sadness. Then Bam! It hit with a force so strong it seemed as if the old mansion would crash down into the earth. “AMIR!! Hurry, get out of bed now!” Gerel roared from the kitchen. Amir stumbled out of bed shaken and confused. He walked down stairs unaware that the house was swinging. Once he arrived in the kitchen, he looked up to find Gerel struggling to keep all the plates, bowls and decorations from tumbling to the ground. “Don’t just stand there!! Help me!” cried Gerel. Amir Rushed to Gerel’s side and started holding things up against the wall. What’s happening, why is the house swaying? Thought Amir. CRRAACK! CCQQRRRUUSS! Shelves were breaking and bowls were falling. Shards of ceramic and clay were splattered all over the floor. With each swaying movement of the mansion more and more bowls would come crashing down, then Amir had one sudden thought NO, I need to grab the bowls that grandmother gave me. They must have already fallen to the ground and cracked, but what if there was still hope? There was no way Amir was going to let all of those important bowls come crashing down to the ground. Amir let go of all the plates and decorations that he had been holding up letting them fall to the ground. You get back here right now! I can’t do this on my own. Please I don’t know what else to do!” shouted Gerel. Amir paid no attention to his brother shouting at him to come back and help. Climbing the steps 2 at a time he arrived at his room. All the bowls were rattling and slowly sliding off his shelf. Amir dove over his bed and caught 2 that had just slipped off the shelf. BBAAAMM! A huge lightning bolt struck the mansion, causing everything in it to jump into the air. Since this bolt was remarkably massive the other bowl on the shelf came bouncing off, landing just out of Amirs reach and splattered onto the
