At first, I expected the courtroom to be big and full of people. But as I entered to the courtroom it was much smaller than I thought. However, I ended up sitting in front of the defendant’s family, which made me a little uncomfortable. This was especially because there were no other spectators in the room, there was about one column empty. The bailiff of the court that was outside the courtroom was really helpful since he notified me when I could enter and even let me enter 10 minutes before the trial started. That 's when my classmate and I met the judge. The judge, Marysol Rosero was very friendly and even bothered to share some information about her background and how she became a judge. I was surprised that she was so kind, diligent, and friendly because I visualized judges to be really serious. Roberts he was with Mr. McCarter in the front porch that evening. Mr. Roberts testified under oath to tell the truth which was exactly as I thought. The lawyers asked him if he sell or consumed drugs, he denied it and even said that he didn 't have any money at the moment. It was true, the moment he was taken to the police station he did not have any money or drugs which they didn 't press any charges. However, Mr. Roberts confirmed that his friend ran when the police came. If I were a witness in any trial I would be really nervous and anxious with the fact of being questioned and probably make the case worse. Yet they did the same process for McCarter, this time the prosecutors asked him that if he ran because of the two men or because he saw the police come. Of course, he stood with what the lawyers
