Healthcare Currently, there are several healthcare topics being debated by the American public. Healthcare has always been a very controversial topic. These topics range from The Affordable Care Act to reproductive health and drug prices, just to name a few. Reproductive health has been a long battle for many years. One of the most noted court cases and a pivotal turning point for women’s rights, was the case of Roe v Wade. 43 years ago, in 1973, the U.S Supreme Court ruled that states were not allowed to regulate any aspect of abortions performed in the first trimester and were only allowed to make abortion laws to protect the health of the mother in the second and third trimesters.
