When one thinks of computer programming, one might think of complicated problems and challenges. People may think that computer programming is hard, well it’s really rather easy if you have the right training and education. Someone may think that it requires a lot of work and years in college, when it really does not require much. There are many job opportunities opening every day for computer programmers. Computer

Computer programmers write software for computers. The software for
computers are the detailed instructions computers follow while they run. Work of
a computer programmer involves updating, repairing, and modifying codes for
programs that have already been written. Computer programmers follow guidelines
prepared by systems analysts.
Programmers code instructions using programming languages such as “C” and
“FORTAN”. Programmers usually specialize in one or two languages. Programmers
keep records of their programming so that others can work on the software. Most
programmers test their work by running the program to see if it works correctly.
Programmers usually do one of two broad types of programming: applications or system.
System programmers maintain the software that controls the operation of an entire

Worker Characteristics
To be a computer programmer one must have many characteristics. One must
have the desire to be a leader and influence others. The person must have a good ability
to work with numbers. Must have the ability to follow set procedures and make few
errors. Ability to solve problems and make decisions. Also, one must have a good ability
to look at written information, such as computer code, and find errors. The soon to be
programmer must have a good ability to understand or use words when talking or writing.
A computer programmer having all these characteristics will do great in the programming

Requirements
There are really very little requirements for the career of computer programming.
Most computer programming jobs do not require a certificate or license, but it does vary

Perhaps the most important qualities of a leader are passion and motivation. Especially when leading a group for a particular cause, a leader must be personally attached to that cause. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., for example, is a legendary leader because he fought for a cause that directly affected him. had he not been pushing for a personal reason, his actions would not have been as passionate. This would have caused a lack in motivation, another essential leadership quality. A leader faces many roadblocks and opposition and thus, must be motivated to continue fighting and leading. A leader’s attitude and opinions are valued by the group and therefore, if a leader is motivated, the group will be, too. When I was in middle school, I had totally no idea of what Computer Science is, but I was pretty proficient in using computers at that age. The only thing that I knew about Computer Science is that one of my aunts is in that field and that’s all, nor of my parents are in that major. Not until in High School that I got the sense of what programming is like. I was taught basic simple codings and I really enjoyed it and thought that the class was actually quite fun. But the class didn’t give me any sense of the important real-world applications of Computer Science. Not until recently as I am in the Computer Science major, I started to really have the real idea and to gain real passion for the field. Computer Science is not all about programming.
