My relationship to power and authority is that I'm all for it. People need somebody to watch over them. Ninety-five percent of the people in the world need to be told what to do and how to behave (Arnold Schwarzenegger). I am Comparing and Contrasting 2 different Characters from 2 different books, Mustapha Mond from Brave New World and Captain Beatty from Fahrenheit 451. These 2 books are very similar and different in many ways. They both are similar because of the power or strength they have over people and the way they brain wash them. Captain Beatty somehow persuades people to believe that books are contain unpleasant and contradicting facts and opinions that should be destroyed. But there were just some people that thought otherwise.
Then there’s Mustapha Mond who is the world state leader/controller. There Society is very creep and unusual. Mustapha creates stability in London and makes them control other people. His puppets instruct the society/people in their sleep by their voices which tend to be brainwashing, controlling forces in Brave New World, starting with the soothing auditory hypnopaedia of youth to the synthetic music boxes to the disembodied voice used to calm the riot in Chapter Fifteen. Since Mustapha is a world controller, it makes sense that he personally embodies one of the key instruments of control.

...ore you realize what's happened, Bernard has gone downhill. All of a sudden our hero guy is a blackmailing socialite with no pride and even less honor. Luckily for we have, John who is the antagonist and who steps in to fill the vacancy for antagonist. He's principled, courageous, compassionate, and of course most importantly, incredibly attractive says the book.
All in all I think these two books where every interesting in their own book ways. They both include a large amount of similarities and different between the books, characters, and story line. I am glad I got opportunity to read and write about these two books because I have gain a lot of knowledge and understanding of the books and what the 2 authors were trying to say about our future. The authors are both right and wrong about our future, to bad they are not alive to see the outcome of our world.
