Lacrosse is very similar to ice hockey however it is also very different. Despite these similarities, lacrosse is not nearly as popular as hockey. Consequently, most people would not be able to experience a lacrosse game from the player's point of view. That is exactly what you will be walked through today.

You are the rookie for the team this year, and the coach has specifically picked you for it. This is your first starting game of the season. Once you have arrived at the arena, you have to get dressed. You put on your shoes, all the way to your jersey and finally you put on your helmet to play. You are in the tunnel now, waiting to be released onto the turf. The butterflies start fluttering around in your stomach in anticipation for your name to be called out on the speaker systems. And then it happens. The person in front of you sprints on the field his stick raised above his head and you are next. Suddenly you're being told to get on the turf.
