About seventy-five thousand refugees enter the United States each year. These refugees come from all over the world. Their lives turned inside out and back again, just like Ha’s life. Ha and universal refugees both had to face hardships because they had to escape terrible situations, survive long journeys, and adapt to life in a new place. Ha and universal refugees both have had to escape from terrible situations. First of all, most of the refugees in the world are escaping from war(Gevert). If they do not leave soon, they will be in an extremely dangerous situation. Secondly, homes were being uprooted(Brice). People would be tortured if they did not flee. Lastly, Ha and her family had to leave quickly(Refugee Transitions).
