The feud between the Montagues and Capulets- The loss of Lord Capulet and Lord Montague’s children bring the two households together. Romeo and Juliet’s death helped their parents realize how wrong their feud was and bond over the commemoration of their children. This project helps bring the families together, and set aside their
Both the Montagues and Capulets were upper-class families. Ultimately, the families’ hatred for each other rose from a strong aspiration to uphold their families pride, and neither family seems capable of overcoming the raging grudge that was amongst them. Within the patriarchal society, Juliet, as a young woman of the Capulet household, was ordered to marry Paris to attain their social status. The Capulets hosted a feast, arranging the official meeting of Juliet and
Romeo and Juliet, a play by William Shakespeare, is about the tragedy of two lovers. The two lovers are from families that hate each other. Romeo is a Montague, whilst Juliet is a Capulet. Romeo had loved another girl, only to find she was to become a nun. He then went to a party hosted by the Capulets, and fell in love with Juliet. He met up with her, as she also liked him, and they eventually got married. Their happiness did not last long, however, as Tybalt, a man from Juliet’s house, killed Mercutio, a relative to the prince and Romeo’s friend. Romeo then proceeded to kill Tybalt, which lead to his banishment. Juliet put herself in a death-like state to be with Romeo, who found out and actually killed himself. Juliet
In the fair city of Verona, two rival families, the Montagues and Capulets were involved in a nasty family feud that goes back years before any of the members were born. Even the townspeople were involved in the dispute, because the families were always fighting in the streets and causing disturbances. They disrupted the streets of Verona and even Prince Escalus tried to break up the fighting. They were given a warning, by him that another public fight would result in death. While this was occurring, Romeo, (a Montague) the main character, was getting over his last love, Rosaline, and was very upset. Juliet of the Capulet household had just been introduced to a wealthy young man, Paris, whom her parents wished her to marry. Yet she did not love him. Romeo goes to a party in an effort to forget about Rosaline. At this party he met Juliet, and immediately fell in love with her. He later finds out that she is a Capulet, the rival family of the Montagues. He decides that he loves her anyway and they confess their love for each other during the very famous "balcony scene" in which they agreed to secretly marry the next day. Friar Lawrence agreed to marry them in an effort to end the feuding between the families. Unfortunately, the fighting gets worse and Mercutio (Montague) a good friend of Romeo ends up in a fight with Tybalt (Capulet), Juliet's cousin. Tybalt killed Mercutio, which caused Romeo to kill Tybalt in an angry rage. For this, Romeo is banished from Verona. At the same time, the Capulet's were planning Juliet's marriage to Paris. Juliet didn't want to marry this man so she arranges with Friar Lawrence to fake her own death with a sleeping potion that would make everyone think that she was dead. Friar Lawrence promised to send word to Romeo to meet her when the potion wears off and to rescue her to Mantua, where Romeo was currently staying. There they would live happily ever after. Unfortunately, Romeo didn't receive the message on time and upon hearing of her "death" went to Juliet's tomb where he drinks poison and dies. When Juliet's potion wears off, she wakes to find her lover's dead corpse. She then proceeds to stab herself with Romeo's dagger. The two families find the bodies and with their shared sorrow, finally make peace with each other.
I in Romeo and juliet (1996 edition) by Baz Luhrmann’s and in a another film V for Vendetta by James Mcteigue, both of these movies share a very similar symbol which is how they use the mask in in their movies. In Romeo and Juliet (1996) the mask is used to represent the hidden nature of of Romeo's character.
For this project, I chose to represent Juliet. I used a variety of components to express what I think Juliet’s mask would have looked like at her father’s party. My overall perspective of Juliet is a beautiful young girl who has an awful attitude and was raised with getting whatever she wants. On my mask, I incorporated three different colours to represent crucial details about Juliet. The white background on the mask serves as Juliet being a bride in a white dress. In Act 2 Scene 5 the narrator tells us that “Romeo and Juliet are secretly married in Friar Lawrence’s chapel.” The only person who knows about Romeo and Juliet’s wedding is the Nurse. The blue feathers at the top of the mask represent Juliet being the boss of the Nurse, but still having manners.
The play Romeo and Juliet is a widely known tragedy written by Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet features two rival families and their children. When a daughter of Capulet and son of Montague meet at a party, sparks immediately fly. However, because of their family rivalry, they married in secret, and were happy. That is until things took a turn for the worse.
Capulet and Romeo Montague, face a bigger problem; forbidden love. Taking place in Verona, an ignorant Romeo first meets a childish Juliet at the Capulet’s party. Romeo and his kinsman, Benvolio, attend the party masked, searching for his first love, Rosaline. Coincidentally, Romeo meets Juliet, a new beauty, and falls in love with her not knowing the fact that she is a Capulet. The feud continues, leading one mistake after another, until both families realize their selfishness at the last minute. The unfortunate tragedy of two “star-crossed lovers” is ironically caused by the impetuosity of Romeo and Juliet themselves (Shakespeare 7).
The Montague and Capulet families had hated each other for a long time. They have fought in the streets of Verona three times according to the Prince. Friar Lawrence saw an

Before I begin my essay I should explain what characters I will be referencing in this essay. The Montague’s and Capulet’s are in a violent reoccurring feud. Romeo is the son of Montague and Lady Montague. Romeo falls in love with Juliet
The tragic play, Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, tells the story of two young people that fell in love. Shakespeare states that his play is about, “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their lives ;”(1.Prologue.6) The play took place in Verona, Italy, where two royal families, the Montagues and Capulets, go through a huge fight, which causes a tragic ending. William Shakespeare does a wonderful job taking the reader into the fight throughout the story. Romeo, a Montague, got invited to a ball in the Capulet’s household, and that’s where everything began. Romeo met the love of his life at the ball, but little did he know, he was giving up his life to be with her. Throughout the play, Romeo and Juliet go through a lot of issues together; which leads to them killing themselves, in hopes of staying together forever. Although the two killed themselves, they are not to blame for their deaths. In the play, Friar Lawrence and the Nurse should both be punished, and Romeo should be pardoned for his actions.
