Comparing Males and Females in Driving School I am a business consultant brought in to have a look at the performance of a driving school. I have been given the raw data which shows, in no particular order, how different students have got on in their driving tests. Introduction: This experiment has the aim of proving the hypotheses (that I shall develop) by handling data and managing it effectively to instigate realistic results. The hypotheses will be based upon test results from a driving school. I am intending to explore the success of males and females in a driving school. I shall do this by testing the number of one hour lessons and the number of errors in a random sample of 30 males and 30 females. I aim to use this data to test several hypothesises. Data: The data which I will be using in this investigation has been gathered from an unknown driving school. I am acting as a business consultant brought in to have a look at the performance of said driving school. The raw data which I have been given is in list form and provides me with the performance of 239 students, of both sexes and includes: Ÿ The number of one hour lessons before successful test. Ÿ The total number of minor errors in test(s) taken. Ÿ The name of the instructor (4 different teachers). Ÿ The day of the test. Ÿ The time of the day of the test. The data is in no particular order and reflects a large range and variety of results and performances. I have taken a random stratified sample to give me 30 males and 30 females which I will use to test my hypothesises throughout my investigation. Here is an example of the data: Student Gender of Student Number of One-Hour Lessons before Successful Test Total Number of Minor Errors in Test(s) Taken Name of Instructor
1.There will be two groups, the control and experimental groups. Each group will have the same amount of participants with equal numbers of boys and girls. The first group will be the control group(rest). The second group will be the experimental group(exercise).
In his article, “The Gender Gap at School,” David Brooks scrutinizes common gender roles and introduces the idea that biological factors may play a role in human development. He begins his essay by analyzing the three gender segregated sections in any airport, which include the restrooms, security pat-down areas, and the bookstore. He goes on to explain that the same separation occurs in the home. Brooks includes a study given to nine hundred men and women who were asked to name their favorite novel. The study determined that men preferred novels written by fellow men, whereas women favored books written woman.
A sample of children ranging from 4 to 13 years old are going to be asked to watch a Rainbow Brite video. The children will be randomly picked from a childcare center. To ensure that the children are going to be randomly assigned, the children will range in different age groups. The first group will consist of 4, 6, and 8 year olds. The second group will consist of 10,12, and 14 year olds. It would have to be a field experiment because you have to go out and collect the data.

Do humans let their gender define their capability to learn? In the “The Gender Gap at School,” David Brooks talks about how “Male reading rates are falling three times as fast as among young women’s” (Brooks 391), because teachers are not providing equal reading interest in both genders. However, gender does not play a role in males capability to succeed in their education for reading. “The problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be, rather than recognizing how we are” (Adichie).
The number of individuals in my targeted population is six. The genders of these six were 5 females and 1 male. The participants are within the age group of 15+. I intend to recruit my participants through finding people that I am regularly with. My participants will be interviewed personally.
The results will be displayed as data i.e. either table format of raw data, from this graphs will be constructed to illustrate the various types of data and the way it will be displayed
I will be choosing five different homes at random and will take 10 participants from each. For optimal results, I will choose two participates from each age group from the ten group homes to participate in the study, which will consist of five individuals from each age group.
have this need to relate the table to each you can see how I am going
The hook is why teens should drive at a young age. Without the license could be an
The male and female brain operate in different manners causing them to have various similarities and differences. Both sex are trained at birth to perform and carry out certain task based on gender. Men and women brains are the same, but each gender uses the brain in different ways. Men usually use their left side more whereas in women often use their right side. The way men and women use their brain shows how similar and different the human brain is compared to a specific gender. Majority of the time both sex play distinct roles, and there is a good amount of double standards between both genders. The comparison between men and women involves the ability to solve conflicts differently, having double standard, and communication
Gender roles and identity are constantly shifting throughout different societal generations. Men and woman both have notable similarities and differences in genders and they each contribute to their personalities and actions. In the past men have been viewed as a more dominant sex in society over women, both in careers, home life, and sexually, however, today women have bridged many of the gaps and society is accepting a more equal view of genders. The following examines the similarities and differences between men and woman by looking at biological characteristics, gender roles, and sexual responses.
Thesis: Men are better drivers than women because they don’t worry as much and they have more patience, which equals less road rage.
“Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time,” said by Steven Wright. Teenagers look forward to their sixteenth birthday so they are able to drive. Everyone has felt that feeling where they can hardly wait to get behind the wheel and start driving. Little do people know teen drivers are more likely to die from a car accident than from a homicide, suicide, or cancer combined (Littlefield). They are mostly inexperienced with the road and how to handle distractions. If the age were moved to eighteen teenagers would have more driving experience (Sostarecz). Teenage drivers are extremely eager to drive because of freedom, but they are not aware of the distractions and peer pressure on the road; their experience of driving is not as well as others and statistics show how many deaths are caused due to teenage driving.
Women driving have been a major controversy in many countries and cultures for a long time. Whether or not women should drive has been debated throughout the years all over the world. Driving is an everyday activity that is used to commute by all sorts of people around the road and is considered to be the safest, most efficient and reasonable choice for people. However, the driver has great responsibilities towards the road, road users and pedestrians. Gender is not a reason to ban or forbid driving. Women, just as men, should be allowed to drive as long as they abide by the laws and rules of the road and possess the sense of responsibility without doing anything that would jeopardize the safety of the road users. That is gender equality to treat women like men in their rights and should women drive or not is return to women only to decide it is desire that women must have freedom to decide it is choice
