Water is essential for life, and occupies seventy one percent of the Earth's surface. Saltwater is more abundant in the world. Although, freshwater makes up about two percent of the Earth's surface and is what people drink, saltwater makes up over sixty eight percent of the Earth's surface and is much more compelling than freshwater. Even though, both salt bodies of water and fresh bodies of water are packed with life, mysteries, dangers, uses, and activities, salt bodies of water are more fascinating. Bodies of both saltwater and freshwater are loaded with unique plant life. Plants are vital for all healthy aquatic ecosystems. Anytime you are out in the water, there is a chance something dangerous will happen. People can become stranded without a way to reach shore. Sadly, anytime you are in water, there is a risk of drowning, yet most drowning incidents occur in freshwater. It is smart to always be prepared and safe when near water.
Mysterious things can occur or be found in any body of water, and many have yet to be discovered. Heaps of mysteries have been left unsolved, such as unresolved sunken ships, and there are many undiscovered species in both freshwater and saltwater. Although a freshwater environment is always changing, and there is always something new to discover and learn, saltwater is more mysterious. Salt bodies of water such as oceans are so deep, and there are so many undiscovered species amongst the depths and the darkness.

The ocean is mysterious to mankind. The unfathomable vastness of the ocean intrigues humanity into exploring it. In life, the immense possibilities that lie in the future compel us to reach for the stars. In the poem “The Story” by Karen Connelly, an individual willingly swims into deep waters even though they are fearful of what may exist in the waters. The swimmer later finds out that their fears were foolish, which illustrates the human tendency to venture into the unknown. The theme conveyed in this poem is that life is like a rough, uncertain, uncontrollable ocean that we must find get through with experience.

With all of the data that I have you can clearly see that as you go out further out from the Great Salt Lake the salt levels decreased due to the different sediments in the samples as you get further along. The Great Salt Lake is one of the saltiest lakes because the lower the lake level, the saltier the lake gets. The Great Salt is getting lower and lower each year which is causing more salt in it because there isn’t enough water for the salt to dissolve. There are strengths and weakness of this experiment. One of the strengths of this experiment is that it is a great environment idea that help with the future of the Great Salt Lake. But a weakness of this experiment is that there could have been more data involved. Maybe time someone could get water samples as well, or they could try multiple locations of the Great Salt Lake rather than just one location like I did. A person drowning in salt water can be dead from anywhere between five and thirty minutes, while in fresh water it can take anywhere between five and twenty minutes. That’s a ten-minute difference and it’s a big difference. So, why does it happen like this? Why can a person be more likely to drown in fresh water, which is generally more controlled than salt water? Why is there a ten-minute drowning difference? It all has to do with osmosis, both of the solutions react different with our bodies.
