Later, serving two presidential terms, Jefferson and Adams each communicated to outsiders their appreciation the other and their longing to recharge their friendship. Adams was the first to end the hush; he sent Jefferson a letter around the time of new year’s, in which he wished Jefferson numerous great new years to come. Jefferson reacted with
Even when Jeffrey was incarcerated for the death of Tim in the penitentiary institution he was still being bullied! He thinks about being reborn as someone better. Jeffrey told the truth when he was tried in court, which proved he showed remorse. Jeffrey proved that he was really strong and has a lot of self-control (you know, besides when he hugs his bully of a boss to death), considering the circumstances, anyone would have eventually snapped. At least Jeffrey did not kill a complete innocent. In the end, Claude used his observation skills against Jeffrey to maintain his authority he had on the job.

...f Jacobs’s narrative is the sexual exploitation that she, as well as many other slave women, had to endure. Her narrative focuses on the domestic issues that faced African-American women, she even states, “Slavery is bad for men, but it is far more terrible for women”. There is the escape from reality, a low level job, and a way of life, in general. Each character is very relatable simply because so many people, in real life, are not happy with the way their lives are or seem to be turning out. “Mountain climbers don’t carry bricks”-Zig Ziglar. Sometimes one has to be selfish to better his or her situation. Laura wants to escape the fact that she is different and others don’t understand her. Amanda spends her time regretting her choice to marry Laura and Tom’s father who she blames for her current circumstances. She really wants her children to be happy, but maybe should spend more time thinking about what to say next. Jim has a reasonable desire for escape; a little more money, a little less work. Tom is beyond dissatisfied but wants to be responsible, but also seemingly envies his father’s escape and leaving him to be the man of the house. Williams likes to use bird imagery in his writing. Birds can symbolize freedom. They can go as they please and never look back. Tom leaves everything behind and finally escapes in the

The choices Tris and Tobias make, like choosing their actions in the aptitude test, letting each other know their secrets, and defending each other, impact the overall plot of the book and the fate of the society and characters. As discussed in this essay, one choice can alter everything. One choice a person makes can permanently change their future. The moral of this is to make wise choices because the choices someone makes can transform that person. “One choice decides your friends...your beliefs...your loyalties forever” (Roth).
There are many great concepts or takeaways from this seminar I could use as an example, but none more important than taking chances or listening to your gut instincts. Jack DeWitt and Edwin Craig understood this idea more than most, as it pertained to their dreams and professional goals. Additionally, the passion and drive of both, DeWitt and Craig, would be the catalyst which in turn sparked the sensation of the Music City. As a Nashville native, I never truly understood the rich history or “roots” of the city around me. Although I have always been proud of my city, I now have a deeper understanding of her struggle throughout those early years.
Keith and Kenita Jensen are my parents and are phenomenal role models. They are kindhearted, responsible, and honorable people.
