The City of Hobsons Bay and The city of Wyndham have strong multicultural roots and residents from all around the world. Some people may not know this, but both Hobson bay and Wyndham have sister cities from japan. These cities are known as Anjo and Chiryu and they have a very different culture from our own. Anjo and Chiryu are both cities located in the area know as the Aichi prefecture , the capital of which is called Nagoya. The city of Anjo The city of Anjo is located 30 kilometres from the Aichi's capital of Nagoya. It's also located next to the city of Toyota and is the home of the very successful power tool company Makita. Anjo is said to have been occupied since prehistoric times. Chiryu is famous for a special kind of iris known as the "Rabbit ear iris". One of the main attractions is the row of pine trees along the Tokaido, Chiryu became a popular rest area on the Tokaido, with over 170 pine trees, spanning over just 500 metres and is the 39th station out of 53 on the Tokaido. Another attraction is the Bunraku float puppet theater. Chiryu is the only place in Japan where you can see Joruri puppet theater Bunraku performed on parade floats. Chiryu is well known for its festivals and temples celebrating and commemorating ancient Japanese beliefs and customs From The Chinese juniper at manpuki-ji temple that is said to be over 500 years old to the Akiba festival that is held at the Akiba shrine every September, where during the day young people lift the treasure box onto their shoulders and walk around the city while singing a traditional song. The identity of the spirit is depicted not by the form of the doll, which is usually simple and flat, but primarily by the applied color and elaborate feather, leather, and, occasionally, fabric ornamentation of its mask. Also the identity of a true Kachina doll is depicted and then carved of cottonwood root. One of the purposes is to help bring the rain for the crops to grow and since the cottonwood is always found near water, the Kachinas are carved from it’s roots. The roots from which the dolls are carved are chosen with care, since they are seen to draw life and precious moisture from the earth.

MSTT met with Quaiesha and Wilbur to discuss their recent verbal altercation which leads to Wilbur wanting to have Quaiesha placed outside the home. Wilbur stated he believes Quaiesha lack respect for him and the evidence he uses to describe this is her unwillingness to follow household rules, talking back to him, and comparing his home to her mother's home. Quaiesha explained she does not want to live with her father and she never did and feel forced to be there and want to go live with her mother. Wilbur explained to Quaiesha how that is not an option because the court placed her in his custody due to the physical abuse while she was with her mother. Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice has emphases on how characters are perceived by the world they live in. Mr. Darcy is an unpopular and misunderstood character who is the symbol of pride throughout the novel. Mr. Wickham is a charismatic soldier who is perceptive of those around him and capitalizes on his knowledge. Throughout the novel similarities and differences between characters are highlighted. There is no question that change will occur in Little Tokyo, the question is, as F. Kaid Benfield puts it, “whether that change can be managed so that it inures to the benefit of Asian-American residents, institutions and businesses, and whether it will be environmentally sustainable.”
