A. Changes imposed by the President positively affect the college as an organization.
1. The implementation of a new customer relationship management system (CRM) aides in maintaining communication with prospective students.
2. The change from ad academic advisor communication platform to Student Planner helps students and academic advisors stay on track with planning courses.
3. TruitionSM is a new initiative offering no fees, no book costs, no surprises.
1. This initiative includes an etext for students and professors.
2. Active duty military students do not have any out of pocket expenses to attend college.

The culture of the Columbia College- San Diego Location is unique to most college locations.
1. Columbia College was founded in 1851 as an all-female college.
2. Columbia College was the first college chartered to offer higher education degrees to women, west of the Mississippi.
3. Columbia College has served the military for over thirty years.
4. Columbia College has 36 Nationwide Locations.
II. The Columbia College- San Diego Locations are located on two military bases, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego (MCRD San Diego), Naval Base San Diego (NBSD), and one civilian location in the Imperial Valley, CA.
A. The leadership of Columbia College consists of the College President, Vice President Division of Adult Higher Education, and a regional director.
1. The Director reports to the Regional Director, and oversees all procedures and policies for the San Diego, and Imperial Valley Locations.
2. The staff at MCRD San Diego consists of the Director, one academic advisor, and one student support assistant.
3. The staff at NBSD consists of two academic advisors.
B. The student body is diverse.
