Waking up in the morning is the start of any day, the feeling of being groggy and still half asleep even though you slept early. You look at yourself in the mirror worried, about how you look, your clothes or how your day will go,the normal anxieties of a human person. From personal experience, music has been a very big part in how I start my day, which then will affect the rest of my day. This is also to be scientifically proven how music can cause different emotions to rise up or calm down such as anxiety, happiness and sadness. I am a senior so waking up in the morning to get ready for school is the start of my day, which is terrible. That together with the fact I stayed up snapchatting and texting my friends, while getting my new assignment done for College writing. After getting out of my bed the first thing I do is not getting dressed or fixing my bed. Rather than that, I grab my phone, put in my earphones, turn on Spotify, and put on my playlist. I walked over in my bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. The anxiety of starting off the day is leaving and I can see it. In one study, patients were asked to choose from two options, music or anti anxiety pills to calm them down before going into surgery. Which then ”Scientists tracked patient's ratings of their own anxiety, as well as the levels of the stress hormone cortisol.” The results of these tests concluded that patients who choose music over the anti-anxiety pills had less anxiety and a lower cortisol levels ,which is the hormone that releases stress into the body, over people who took anti-anxiety pills. This proves how music is a way to relieve stress from a person even better neurologically. The scientific reason for why this happens and possible is due to the Amplifier
