The dead have taken over the campus turning everyone around into walkers leaving me all alone. There is not a lot of time before they take me too so I must flee to somewhere safe until help arrives before they get me too. When I flee, I have to know where I am going and what to bring or else I am as good as dead. My best thoughts for a hiding place will probably be the tallest building on campus since zombies have not yet learned how to climb. With considering I plan to climb a building, I also realize I will need to keep whatever I take with me light. Essentially I know I must pack at least a package of water and some sort of food due to the cafeteria being overrun. My best idea for food will be a box of MREs the camp I worked let me take
me since they had over seventy boxes and knew I was going to college. Next I would have to have some way to protect myself and the best way is probably a knife since I do not own any other forms of protection. Due to the campus being overrun I will also need to consider that the power is due to go out meaning I am going to need a flashlight along with extra batteries that can last until help comes assuming it will. If help does not come, I will see everyone on the other side.

Stop! Do not head for the road It is safer to stay in your houses because no matter what the dead will be coming and there is no escaping. Try to be as close as you can to a town so you can get supplies. Zombie proofing your home is the first thing you should do. When Zombie proofing your home, the ideal item would be wood. Board up every window and set traps outside and inside your home. The traps would trap the dead and tell you if they are coming. The absolute safest place to be is in an abandoned prison. Although prison is designed to keep the living inside it is the ideal to keep the dead out. It already have top notch security and a kitchen. Wherever you are try to stay safe and not draw attention to
At the start of the semester, my oblivious state of nature associating with the Chinese culture reached an unacceptable level. Implementing a necessary change, I decided to educate myself on different cultures starting with China. I failed to ponder that such a rich, deep culture existed outside America. Encompassed by this country’s unique yet suffocating melting pot culture, my outlook believed ideas such as uniformity between American Chinese food and Authentic Chinese food. After this course, my bigot perspective widened as I witnessed diversity in the world. Before this class, when I thought of Chinese food, my connotation jumped to thoughts associated with chop suey, but as I progressed my education, my mindset gradually pondered foods like steamed buns or “New Year Cakes” with authentic Chinese food.
If you want to know to survive the zombie apocalypse here is some useful tips. One, use a silent weapon, preferably a knife unless you have to use a gun. Two, adapt to your surroundings and use them against your enemies alive or dead. Three, buddy system the more the merrier. Four, no matter what, you are surely going to need canned food because the rest is probably going to be rotten. Five, repopulation even if it sounds nasty about 9/10 of the human population is going to be zombies, but be careful babies can attract zombies. Six, be a hero because those people screaming for help are precious for survival. These are all very important rules, but here are some really important tips.
Starting college is an intense and confusing event that plagues all recent high school graduates. It is like trying to run when all you can do is crawl, and for many freshmen, myself included, one can get easily overwhelmed by the daunting task of picking a major when less than two months ago some of our parents still packed our lunches for us every morning. The concept of entering college tends to be frequently skewed and expecting an eighteen year old to decide what they want to do for the rest of their lives, without having them actually experiment in different areas, has the potential to create a generation of adults who are aggravated and depressed in their careers.
The experience of the APEC Youth Science festival was incredible. It has had an enormous impact on me in many ways, changing the way I look at the world and connecting me with people and events far beyond my formerly limited experience. I am extremely glad to have had this opportunity. It was a wonderful experience on multiple levels. It challenged me and expanded me intellectually and socially. I feel that this experience has had an immense impact on me.
I was in 1st grade when I found out that I had a learning disability. I still
In our society in this day and age a secondary education is certainly not a preference or pleasure, but somewhat of a requirement. Students are basically grown and accustomed to consider that one needs advanced schooling in order to be successful in life. In addition, President Barack Obama gave a speech and he stated that, “If you think education is expensive wait until you see how much ignorance costs in the 21st century” (Obama). But then as technology continually advances and computers are at the center of running the world. Some people may ask, is a secondary education a must?
When we are young, we all have our own unique dreams and aspirations for what we wish to do when we are “older.” As we grow older, we begin to realize that some of our dreams are unattainable, while others are able to achieve their dreams. Whether one is the first person or the latter, we are spoon-fed the idea of attending college. We all hear how college is our “gateway to success,” and how “our entire lives depend on college.” Pressures bear down on high school students, telling them that they must attend college to be capable of anything in life. But people do not realize the detriments that are also associated with attending college. Students should not be pushed to attend colleges as there could be several factors that play in a student’s
Through my father’s TV blaring The Day After Tomorrow, my brother’s banging Hans Zimmer’s “Time” on the piano, and my mother and me washing the dishes, I hear two succinct, successive music notes in the background: a high C, rest, then a lower C. I continue to dry a pot, until I hear the elusive notes again, and I pause with a pensive look on my face.
When I grow up I want to help, children, families, marriages, anyone and everyone that I possible can. No one deserves to be trapped and go through the system for years on end, although I am glad that I was never in the system my family was thrown into that life for about six months. The only reason… one family mentally could not take care of their children, this is why I know its my job to help. The main experience that I have gone through that truly showed me what I wanted to due happened right before I became a freshman in high school. The entire summer before I started school, my sister was having serious problems with CPS, and because of this there were a major part of my life. Every time they would go and visit her house me and my parents
Should United States culture aim toward ensuring that everyone goes to college? Yes, United States should encourage everyone to go to college because it helps people get out of poverty and people explore in a career that could shape their lives. Some of the people want to have a good job in life and have a good salary to change their future. Additionally, college can help you become more independent and successful in life. Unless the country is willing to more fully fund higher education for all, ensuring that everyone goes to college is a dream.
It was one of the most exciting and nerve racking days of our lives. Although we were finally leaving high school, the feeling of being unsure didn’t go away. The whole day was full of practicing for the big moment when the entire class graduated on to a new beginning. All the girls wore shiny bright red robes and the guys were dressed in a shiny navy blue. Standing there, I had no idea what to expect. Some things I were aware of, my friends were leaving and we wouldn’t be the same friends anymore. My role was that of being so aware of the future that I was too shocked to soak in the present; being a pessimist was my main goal and everything I was sure of became true.
As I look back on my life, I can truly say that I am grateful for the opportunity to start again. My family flied our war and politically torn country of Eritrea four years ago, seeking shelter here. Through my parent's struggles to build a better life for all of us, I have gained a deep appreciation for hard work and dedication which I applied to my education to achieve my dreams.
Growing up, everybody gets to learn that the real world is not a fantasy that’s easy to cope with. While I was growing up I believe that life was really easy; not until I reached 12th grade. That’s where I got to learn how to be independent, and work hard to earn my things. 2015 was the year where I got a little taste of the real world. Growing up was a blur, and I barely remember everything from my childhood, so I shall tell my reader the important facts, challenges, and rewards I have faced in my life.
