Club soda is the best household item to remove wine stains. Red wine is a common spill in households and 31.4 billion bottles are consumed each year. common household remedies is salt because the salt will dry in the t-shirt and will suck up the stain, tap water ia a remedy because it dilutes the stain and prevent it from setting into the fabric. It is important to find the best remedy because if you don't have a washer or dryer you can have a simple and easy remedy which most people have. The dark red dyes can create deep dark stains. Red wine is made from different types of grapes, for example Shiraz, merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. One thing they all have in common is that they all are deep red in color.

Acidity is a measure of the ph or hydrogen ion potential in a solution, if something is more acidic than it can give more hydrogen ion to other substances. A pH scale is how much a substance is willing to receive or give hydrogen ion. Substances that are very acidic are close to 0 on the pH scale. Substances that are close to 14 on the pH scale are called bases. Tannins are compound which are in grapes, they make wine taste drier and feel drier in someone's mouth. Tannins are used in color dyeing and because of this they can stain cotton fabric more quickly and more deeply. Cotton is porous which means the wine can go in it more deeply. A porous surface is a surface with many small openings. You can prevent red wine from staining with someone that would cover or fill in the porous which wouldn't let the wine absorb as deeply.
