Classroom Management Plan My classroom management plan will be based off of UDL classroom principles and rules. In the beginning of class, each student will have the chance to introduce themselves. I would instruct every student to make a mini-presentation about themselves in order to visually help the students garner a better perspective about each other. The presentation is the student’s introduction to the classroom. The presentation should list a student’s interests, dislikes, likes, goals, and anything else they feel pertinent to sharing with the class. The class will be organized in a clusters of desks, paired desks, long tables, and personal spaces that caters to the needs of every student. Clustered student desks will provide extensive opportunities for students to work together and can be extremely helpful for social students who learn best by talking and listening. Meanwhile, paired desks promote close collaboration between students and empower teachers to create pairings that will complement each student while in a learning environment. At long tables, small group instruction allows teachers the opportunity to provide help with certain content and focus on skills that students need help with in targeted areas. Also, this setting can reduce distractions and amplify background knowledge. A calendar will be implemented that is sent home everyday with either a smiley face, normal face, or frowny face to indicate how their child’s day progressed. Parents are welcome to ask about any facet of my classroom management plan in order to ensure a collaborative partnership that benefits the student/child. To build a classroom community where everyone feels like they are in a safe environment to take intellectual risks the animal crackers program will be implemented. Every time a student raises their hand to ask a question, answer a question, or voice their opinions or thoughts, they will be awarded an animal cracker for their desire to be a participant. Any student that ridicules another student for their answer if it is wrong or chides the other student’s opinion will be asked to apologize and if it persists, they will be sent to detention. As a teacher, if a student answers a question wrongly, they thank the student for the attempt and build off their answer and rear it towards the correct
This classroom management plan was created to address the needs of a first grade, general education, inclusion class. The majority of the students have attended kindergarten at the same school, so they are familiar with the school grounds and know their fellow classmates. Classrooms today are the most diverse they have ever been; population changes have affected the dominance of social and cultural backgrounds; while inclusion has moved to mainstream students with more diverse needs and abilities. Emmer, Stough, Sugai and Horner (as cited in Capizzi, 2009) state, that these changes demand “well-managed classrooms to promote positive behavior and optimize learning and achievement” (p. 2).

In my class, we respect ourselves and take care of one another. I will encourage my students to try their personal best in every situation they find themselves in. I will remind students that your personal best effort does not look like your neighbors. I will structure my classroom environment so students can easily collaborate and form positive relationships with one another. The structure of my classroom environment will be full of warmth, patience, and humor creating an environment that is welcoming, safe, and fun for my students. We will look out for another and help one another reach our fullest potential individually, academically, and socially.
In my twelve years of teaching experience, one thing that most of my colleagues have struggled with at some point in their career has been classroom management. Classroom management is one many keys to instructional success. Unfortunately, many have left the teaching field due to lack of knowledge of classroom management best practices.
Rational 2E Organizing Physical Space This classroom arrangement and rational demonstrates my ability to organize a classroom’s physical space to be conducive to learning and provide access to instruction for all students. According to Danielson 2E, organizing physical space allows all students a safe and accessible learning environment which works to both enhance curriculum delivery and manage the traffic flows that accompany its learning activities. A score of proficient signifies that the teacher has used physical resources skillfully and the classroom arrangement supports classroom routines and academic endeavors. All effective educators need to find ways to motivate their students. The kids that fill our classrooms have different strengths and weaknesses. It is critical that teachers recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their students so they can use the right classroom management strategies to motivate their kids. In this particular case, the student named Jodie is inattentive and uninterested and neither the teacher intern or classroom teacher have a clue how to handle this situation. Ms. Marcia Thomas, who is the young intern feels that Jodie is just a problem child that lacks motivation and there is nothing she can do for this particular student. Ms. Thomas and the lead teacher Ms. Egan both lack the needed classroom management strategies that are necessary to motivate and engage students in a positive learning environment.
The overall presentation of our unit outline and lesson plan went very well. We began our presentation by quickly describing the unit outline, then we started to present our lesson plan. Our unit plan consists of ten lessons, and we presented the introduction lesson, lesson one out of ten lessons. To begin with our lesson, we showed a class a video of a new roller coaster. This video was used a motivational hook, to get the students engaged with the activity presented next.
The rest of the available desks are set up in groups of three in different areas of the classroom. All of the desks are facing the east side of the classroom where the interactive board is located. The classroom houses two teacher desks that are against the south side of the classroom. The classroom walls have posters and pictures of inspirational quotes, test taking strategies, and content related information. The population of this study consists of 10 randomly chosen tenth grade students, seven boys and three girls, currently enrolled in a social studies learning support class in an urban city high school.

Danish cause the problem when he rarely completes his work even he understands about it. In class, he always stares blankly when are asking to get to work and also always watching the other students. This I Believe Philosophy statement will include my thoughts and beliefs about classroom management with comparison to other theorists’ models. The major theorists that will be mentioned are Barbara Coloroso, Linda Albert, and Lee & Marlene Canter. I highly agree with the Canter’s and Coloroso’s models of classroom management because it best fits my personality as an individual teacher. I believe that an affective classroom management plan is first practiced and then modeled for improvements. My ultimate goal for my Classroom Management Plan is to model self-discipline by teaching it through my daily actions so that students may be able to self-manage themselves accordingly.
During the first day of school, a variety of different students enter the classroom. These students are excited and nervous, they have their parents by their sides who are observing the classroom walls and arrangement. We will take an active learning approach, letting the students be the creators of knowledge. Students and myself will be in it together and can take mutual pride in what we accomplish together.
I believe Classroom Management is the main component in the educational setting. I believe if students are in a safe environment, then learning can take place. This doesn’t mean punishing behavior problems but rather a combination of setting the tone in a class, preventing behavior problems with interesting and engaging curriculums and effectively including all students in the classroom so that their needs are met. Having the right environment for all students to learn is my major goal of implementing good classroom management--without it the students would not be able to learn.
