What is the “Early Republic”? What is the Civil War? These events are occurred from 1780-1830 and 1815-1860. During the Early Republic, it was known to be a period of transition. In 1788, the Constitution was ratified, meaning that the approval from the legislative branch would be required to validate governments agreements. During this time period there was four different presidents: John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and James Monroe. The Civil War also known as the “War Over States,” was known to have been a war over slavery. Not just slavery but many other things as well including: industry v. farming, states rights, expansion, and many other things. When going to war, The United States soldiers were going through hunger. Our soldiers were not treated with the respect that they should have been. Now that all has changed, we now look up to our soldiers with much respect. In fact, the states offer them very good benefits not just for themselves but also their families. Living in the United States of America, we classify ourselves as either liberal, progressive, moderate or conservative. …show more content…

Progressive people are somewhat similar to Liberal but still a bit different. They tend to be known as those who favor reform and civil liberties. They focus more on the powers from the government to enlarge institutions. The Moderates also known as the “Early Nationalists” have been around for quite some time. They were active from 1885 to around 1907, they were known to be a pretty large group of political leaders in India. The Moderates are known for the creation of National Awakening among the people. Conservative people are the ones who tend to advocate the use of our military
