We are always on the lookout for the next big thing in medicine and I believe we may have found a new superstar in the world of asthma maintenance medication in Cinqair. When we look at medications we are wanting to know mechanisms of action, indications, cautions, contraindications, drug interactions, adverse effects, routes of administration, and dosages. In this paper, we are going to discuss these points as well as how it will help us in the medical setting.
Just a quick overview of what Cinqair does for patients Cinqair (reslizumab) is an interleukin-5 antagonist monoclonal antibody (IgG4 kappa). Reslizumab is expressly specified for the supplementary upkeep treatment of patients with severe asthma 18 years old+ eosinophilic phenotype.

In the use of Cinqair hypersensitivity to drug/class/components, status asthmaticus, acute asthma, acute bronchospasm, caution in long term corticosteroid usage. I would need to make sure that the patient do not have any drug interactions with this medication. People take so many different medications these days to control so many different things. There are no drug interactions known currently. This is a very new medication so that doesn’t mean that there will not be drug interactions that come to the light as usage becomes more popular. We need to advise our patients that there are possible side effects to taking this medication. Cinqair can cause serious side effects including breathing problems paleness, flushing, skin rash (hives)itching, swelling of your face, lips, mouth, or tongue, symptoms of low blood pressure (fainting, dizziness, light headedness, confusion, fast heart beat) nausea or abdominal discomfort. The most common side effects in clinical trials for Cinqair included anaphylaxis, cancer, and muscle pain (P. N. 2013, June 03). Drugs can have what is known as black box warning labels and Cinqair is one that does care this label. Black box warning anaphylaxis occurred in 0.3% of patients in placebo-controlled studies. We need to observe our patients for a suitable period after …show more content…
The dosage typically given is 3 mg/kg IV q4wk infused over 20-50 minutes. (Elliott, W., & Chan, J. (2016). Patient teaching for Cinqair is critical we need to inform patients that hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, have occurred with administration of Cinqair. Educate patients on the signs and symptoms of hypersensitivity reactions and anaphylaxis (e.g., skin or mucosal involvement, airway compromise, reduced blood pressure). Instruct patients to contact their healthcare professional immediately if they experience symptoms of an allergic reaction after they have received their infusion. This medication does not treat acute asthma symptoms or acute exacerbations. They need to seek medical advice if their asthma remains uncontrolled or gets worse after beginning treatment with Cinqair as indicated in the above information. Patients treated with this medication are at risk of malignancies related to the use of this medication. Patients shouldn’t stop systemic or inhaled corticosteroids unless physician directed. Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways. It is a reversible airway obstruction, occurring 8 to 10% of the population worldwide. According to a study in 2005, asthma affects over 15 million Americans, with more than 2 million annual emergency room visits. Asthma patients have a hyper-responsiveness in their airways and generally and increase in their airway smooth muscle cell mass. This hyperplasia is due to the normal response to the injury and repair to the airway caused by exacerbations. The main choice of therapy for asthma patients is β2- adrenergic agonists. Racemic albuterol has been the drug of choice for a short acting bronchodilator for a long time, but since the development of levalbuterol, there is the question of which drug is a better choice for therapy. Efficacy and cost of treatment must both be taken into consideration in each study of these therapies to determine which is best for the treatment of asthma.
How does one region have a prolonged battle for authority, and conflict with the opposing force for eternity? After the Ottoman Empire sided the Central Powers during World War I, they didn’t foresee that they would lose their empire based off of this decision. European countries that won the war came in and partitioned the Middle Eastern region. Soon after the Sykes-Picot Agreement was established, and the Arabs felt betrayed because they weren't granted their deserved independence. The new borders set caused continuous conflict because of the artificial blending of different ethnic and religious groups. International conflicts have contributed to regional conflict in Southwest Asia by forming borders without regards to the different ethnic and religious groups, creation of the state Israel in 1948, and the U.S. being involved in the matters of the Middle
For Ventolin to work optimally, situations that may trigger an asthma attack must be avoided. These situations include exercising in cold, dry air; smoking; breathing in dust; and exposure to allergens such as pet fur or pollens. Relating to the case study, a few of these may apply to the patient, such as exercising in the cold morning air and perhaps breathing in dust and allergens such as pollens or maybe from the eucalyptus in the Blue Mountains might have had an effect on his condition.
Tayib is likely feeling as though he is a failure and disappointment to parents and that he is a failure at life in general (Broderick, 2014). Not only is he not living up to their expectations, but he keeps getting passed over for promotions at work, despite his dedication. Even so, he sticks with his same job, hoping one day that his good work will be noticed. Possibly one of Tayib’s problems is that he is not assertive enough when it comes to work. He lets his boss glaze over him and allows him to ignore his efforts without telling his boss how it truly impacts him. His coworkers and supervisor benefit from his conscientiousness without giving anything back. Furthermore, Tayib seems a bit

Asthma is treated with two types of medicines: long-term control and quick-relief medicines. Long-term control medicines help reduce airway inflammation and prevent asthma symptoms. Quick-relief, or "rescue," medicines relieve asthma symptoms that may flare up.

Asthma is chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways characterized by recurring episodes of wheeling and breathlessness. It often exists with allergies and can be worsened through exposure to allergens. In fact, asthma is complicated syndromes that have neither single definition nor complete explanation to the point. In light of its treatment, it is worthwhile to notice that asthma cannot be cured, instead can be only managed by avoiding exposure to allergens and/or by using medications regularly.
The Valley of the Kings is a valley in Egypt which was chosen as the burial ground for a great number of pharaohs and nobles of the New Kingdom; the New Kingdom in Egypt spans the time between the 16th century BC and the 11th century BC which includes the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth dynasties of Egypt (Long 2015: 39). In 1979 an organization known as the Theban Mapping Project was organized to strategically catalogue the present and available archaeological record of the Theban Necropolis in the Valley of the Kings. “The TMP’s goal is to establish a historical and contemporary record of all monuments … and to prepare detailed topographical maps, architectural plans and surveys of their history and condition (Weeks 2000:1).” The book

In mild cases, swelling of lips, eyes or face occurs along with hives, rash, tingling of mouth and vomiting accompanied with abdominal pain. Nevertheless, in extreme conditions the former symptoms may be accompanied by noisy breathing, wheezing, hoarseness and unconsciousness. Lloyd & Sisman,2013. Managing the threat: People/ children who have been diagnosed with a threat to anaphylaxis need to strictly follow the Action Plan (Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology & Allergy, 2012) as suggested by their medical practitioner. There is no preventive medication developed for this condition so far.
Even though there is no cure for asthma, there are two main types of medication used for the treatment of it. The first is long term medication that aids in decreasing the inflammation of a person’s airways and also serves as a preventative measure for symptoms and asthma attacks. These medicines are usually anti-inflammatory drugs that are taken daily to reduce future symptoms, but do not act as a quick fix...

The perspective taken in “Araby” by James Joyce is one of nostalgia and reminiscing because it is being told from the future in a manner that idealizes the past, as it fondly tells of positive and dramaticized aspects of the narrator’s childhood. The reader is placed into the first person narrative of a pubescent boy who becomes infatuated with the sister of his friend. Despite the fact that the narrator is coming from a reminiscent perspective, due to his being the boy as an adult, James Joyce effectively uses elements of idealization when it comes to his perception of the girl, the bazaar, and his own emotions to demonstrate that this experience was a pivotal time in his life. Throughout the short story, Joyce offers up the boy’s perspective
