"Christopher'' My mother and father shouted from down stairs.

I jumped out of my bed and peered at my alarm clock. I was just bale

to see it as I the darkness of the winter mornings had taken over my

room.

"Christopher" this time it was shouted louder.

"I am up" I shouted back not quite as loud as I may have got in

trouble. I could not be bothered to have a shower this morning so I

just slipped on my clothes and headed for down stairs.

As I was walking I had felt something rough pass under my feet. I

looked down wondering was it was to my surprise some glass lay on the

floor as if a metal spike ready to puncher my skin. I had come to the

conclusion that my mother and father had been fighting. I hated it

when my mother and father fought. It was as if they were pushing a

knife into me , purposely trying to hurt me. I walked down stairs with

caution. As if I was a fox creeping up behind a rabbit. I did not want

them to hear me coming down. Maybe I could find out what they were

fighting about

"Christopher could you come into the kitchen please" my father

demanded.

As I stepped into the kitchen I was greeted by two unwelcoming faces.

As if I had committed a crime and they were ready to judge me.

"Christopher we have something we need to tell you" my mother said.

She had said it calmly hoping not to alarm me. Was this new so ad, so

upsetting. Maybe they were sending, me to boarding school, maybe some
