A religion established in 600s AD, it is now one of the most widely-spread religion

practiced in the world today. The prophet Muhammad lived on the Arabian Peninsula from 571 -

632 AD. In the city of Mecca, the angel, Gabriel, came to Muhammad and told him to write the

word of God. Thus, the Quran was created. After Muhammad’s death, all over Arabia, Islam had

already spread rapidly, and continued to spread west towards Europe and Northern Africa. The

relationship between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism is that Allah, God, and Yahweh are all the

same God. These three religions are closely connected by one God and thousands of years of

history.

There are many

different names for Him, but in the long run, it is one and the same God. As the Quran is for the

Muslims, the Torah is for the Jews and the Bible is for the Christians, they all state many of the

same ancient prophets like Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac.Muslims hold strong to their belief in God,

however, they respect and admire all the “People of the Book.” In Islamic civilizations, “The

People of the Book” are Christians and Jews. The name given to them were the dhimmi. The

dhimmi were Hebrews, and Christians and they were protected by the Muslim majority for having

the same God. In the Quran, it states very clear that all pagans, unbelievers, and idolaters are wrong

in their beliefs and even though many will not have salvage when they pass from one life to the

next, they still can turn to God and be forgiven.

While reading the Quran, they clearly hold high the Jews and Christians. They respect

both religions, especially since they are the “People of the Book.” In the text, it specifically

declares “None shall enter Paradise except that they be Jews or Christians.” Saying this
