It is important that we remember to not only do the right thing but to treat people in a manner that is respectful and appropriate. It is important that when making decisions that affect other people we should always use critical thinking and never let feelings or emotions have an effect on our decisions. This paper will talk about ethics, and the different ethical theories and how they relate to the Christian worldview.

Christians understand that treating others, as they want to be treated is the best way to look at ethics. Ethics is simply what we ought to do (Ruddell, 2004). Ethics are universal standards that do not change and are based off the simple concept of what a person ought to do. These concepts or principles help guide people in determining how they should behave. Christians are raised to have morals and values that coincide with God’s teachings and result in good ethical behaviors. People obtain these morals based upon their values, assumptions, beliefs, and expectations that they have gained during their time on earth. Christians are taught these concepts at a very young age and have them reinforced as we grow into adulthood. We understand that ethics are universal because God teaches us to treat people the way we want to be treated and not to judge others because one day we will have to face our own Judgment Day. We know that if we make unethical decisions that hurt other people that we will have to face our Lords judgment when the time
