China Mieville China Mieville is an American and British dual citizen. Born in Norwich 1972 and grew up in Willesden. He grew up with his mother and sister due to his father’s separation from his mother almost immediately after Mieville’s birth. He is known for writing book that are categorized as Fantasy, Steampunk, New Weird, and Weird Fiction. Not only known for his writing however also known as a political activist and for his academics. He has won awards such as the Arthur C. Clarke Award, British Fantasy Award, Locus Award for Best Novel, Best Science Fiction Novel, and Best Young Adult Books. China Mieville is active in left-wing politics over in the UK while having been part or still part of different political organizations such as International Socialist Organization, and International Socialist Network. He had taught english in Egypt, with a BA in Social Anthropology at Cambridge, graduating in the year 1994. The City and The City is about a detective trying to solve the murder of a college student that happened in two different cities. WHile attempting to have this case be given to Breach. A secret organization that abides by no laws and uses any method to track down criminals who detectives and police officers can not find. However this goes beyond not being able to solve a murder, this specific murder is the most important one that there is in recent time. The breakthrough of the investigation could ruin lifes or even more break down two governments that are close enemies and share an even closer issue, its citizens being in danger of breaking
