Chelsea & Astra The author of this book Chelsea and Astra is Mary Hooper. The setting of the story is mainly at the high school and sometimes back at the Astra’s house. In this story there are 2 young teenage girls Chelsea and Astra, they are best friends that do everything together. Even though they both had different likes and dislikes they get on so well. It was just a normal day at school for the girls when Ben Adams walked in, both girls had become obsessed. This was the first time that the girls had fought against each other. Through the book it was hard to know if they would remain best friends. The theme in this story is about relationships between friends and having a boyfriend, throughout the book Chelsea and Astra’s relationship was tested. The girls relationship with Ben becomes a friendship after they welcome him to their school and town. Chelsea and Astra both have a major crush on the new boy Ben, they both get jealous of each other around Ben because they both want to get to know him more. Throughout the book Ben makes Chelsea and Astra feel like he likes them both. While he hangs out with Chelsea he makes out that he wants to get closer to her and not Astra. Then when he's with Astra he makes out he interested in her and he wasn't interested in Chelsea. The girls argue because they both think that Ben likes one more then the other. As Ben made both girls think he liked one more than the other they became so jealous of each other that they ended up not even talking anymore. While the girls weren't talking Ben asks each girl to run way with him because she was the one he had chosen. They both go to meet up with him and they see each other and are confused, they realized he was playing with them both and they just watched him leave by
