Identity theft of a celebrity is one of the most accessible ways for con artist to collect goods and services free and of zero cost. Because celebrities acquire vast amounts of endorsements in order for consumers to buy and follow trends. Merchants suffer the consequences by handing out products just to get their brand advertised. In some cases but not all investments of products that were used as means for celebrities to use are often recovered by imposters. These tricksters rack up on expensive items such clothing, foot wear, hotel stay, goods and services freely. Due to the fact impersonators only use the name of a famous person they can easily retrieve generous amounts of goods and services.
This type of white collar crime which is to steal the identification of a celebrity by impersonating them has brought about a new era of identity fraud. Owing to the fact superstars receive very expensive and complimentary items to be advertised on a regular. Impersonating a celebrity can allow an individual to con well known merchants out of their products, goods and services.
