Drought can cause many problems in life
Droughts are real problems for many people in the whole worlds. Drought is a weather
related natural disaster where the lack of rainfall for a long period of time usually one season or
more at a place where it is considered ‘not normal’ compared to it is usual conditions. Droughts
may not be an issue just because there is less or no rainfall. However, it becomes an issue when
it begins to affect water supply for irrigation, municipal, industrial, energy, and ecosystem
function. Drought is defined by the delicate balance between water supply and demand.
Whenever, human demands for water exceed the natural availability of water, the result is
drought.
Drought has many causes. First, it is caused

Drought can have many devastating effects on communities and the surrounding
environment. The amount of devastation depends on the strength of the drought and the length of
time an area is considered to be in drought conditions. Drought has greater impacts on poorer
communities than on more prosperous communities who have better opportunities to bring in
resources from other areas. For the poorer communities, drought could have dire consequences,
because they will be very difficult to survive due to lack of water flow. In fact, there is no water
flow through the rice fields, the soil will be cracked by drought and the river also dried up. Thus,
they cannot get water and food to survive. This means it causes hunger and it also leads to
spread of diseases. When people do not have enough water to drink or cook, they would not use
water to maintain hygiene. Forest fires are also common during drought. Drought causes
migration and relocation as people start out for a home where there would not be any lack of
water and where there would be enough food. It is also has severe social and economic impact
especially in countries that have an agrarian economy and depend on rainfall for

Being a farmer in drought conditions can be very hard at times. Farmers cannot
predict a drought or even stop a drought. Drought causes crop failure, limited use of water, wind
erosion, and many other problems.
Current responses to drought tend to focus on short-term measures. However, with
increased drought risk, we must incorporate longer term efforts that increase resilience to more
frequent or severe drought conditions. To tackle the problem of drought , there are the solution of
drought that is the better monitor and measure water supply and uses nationwide, reduce indoor
water use through more efficient appliances, technologies, and behaviors. Increase recycling and
reuse of water, including capturing and reusing stormwater, greywater, and wastewater, make
more strategic use of groundwater. All efforts should be made to preserve rain waters in various
ways and tap ground water sources to meet unexpected drought situations, improved rain water
harvesting methods should be deployed, the people should be educated regarding the importance
of water, so that they do not misuse the stored water, new improved methods of irrigation should
be introduced, deforestation should be discouraged to increase the ability of the soil to hold
Water shortage in arid and semi-arid regions and declining its availability to a crisis ...
Drip irrigation, xeriscape, desalination, water recycling, personal water conservation, and the change of household appliances are all techniques that would have a positive effect on California’s drought. Because of the constantly growing population, the demand for water is constantly growing. To make sure that this water crisis doesn’t become vital, Californian’s should think it is their duty to help improve the situation. These improvements can be made in farmers, landscapers, and the everyday citizen. Everyone should do their part in employing these techniques, whether they take the simple approach of shortened shower times or a costly approach, and re-design their outdoor spaces to be xeriscaped and use drip systems. California’s water is precious, and it is the duty of California Citizens implement solutions to bust the water drought.
The drought along with the dust storms as stated already made it impossible to plant crops, it also made it very difficult to provide food for the farmers and their families. If you could not plant anything, you did not have food for animals and you did not have food for families or children that needed it desperately. There was a sudden urgency of concern once farmers could not feed their family and members of those families started to starve.
Famine can be highly detrimental to human health and cause a lot of sickness throughout humans. It is clear that there are many biological effects caused by famine but there are also many effects on society and human agency. Famine can cause a breakdown in society and create barriers to economic growth. This can lead to dramatic changes in religions, cultural practices and the structure of government.
Since there was hardly any usable land or animals and families had no money, food supplies were becoming limited. There was very little food being produced from the remaining animals because they could not get enough to eat to stay healthy. There also were no crops that could be harvested and eaten.
On the heart (center) of California is a flat area with miles and miles of farms and up to 230 different crops. The central valley agriculture is essential to the United States; it not only delivers almost half of the produce but also helps the economy by also giving more job opportunities (California Department of food and agriculture, 2014). Many families depend on the central valley agriculture to survive economically in the United States. It is a well-known fact that rain and snows in the Sierra Nevada Mountains are a very important element in the central valley. No rain in the central valley can cause many devastating issues to occur quickly. Recently in the year of 2013 California received less rainfall than years before. The small amount of water the central valley is receiving is harming not only to the land but humans and animals as well. It’s destroying the habitats of animals with forest fires caused from the dry spells occurring. The central valley is going through a drought, so much that around this time of year the central valley usually accumulates enough rain for the necessities in the valley, agriculture for example. This year, however, has been different, the central valley hasn’t received enough water and this has caused a drought in the valley. Water is an important element in this world for not only human life, but for the environment in general, a shortage of water supply can bring issues to the environment and those living in it. The central valley holds the largest percent of class one soil, not only that, the valley grows a third of all the produce being grown in the United States, that’s more than 230 crops that are being grown in the central valley. However, this drought isn’t only affecting the resident...

The effects of climate are felt throughout the world, all living things are affected with it. The effects of climate change are affecting directly the human life. It has been noticed that around the globe, seasons are shifting, temperatures are climbing and sea levels are rising. The world compares to century ago, it has changed drastically and it is becoming worse with climate change. Climate change will rapidly alter the lands and waters which we all depends upon for survival which will leave our children thus the future generation with a different world. In the time to come if not much is done for the case of climate change, There will be shortage of food and drinks, many new illnesses and diseases and some part of the world will become in appropriate for living things to live due to natural disaster. It can be that with the rapid Global warming and climate change, one-fourth of Earth’s species could be headed for extinction by the year 2050.
However, the storms, floods, fire and drought that are already playing havoc with agriculture are likely to have a significant negative impact, along with the longer term flooding of coastal areas.

Many of these in later years shall need to be addressed as tension rises: Saving and consumption of water Improving drinking water supply Increasing access to clean water supply Decreasing tension between war-ing nation over resources With the population expected to rise 40-50% within the next 50 years, the demand for water in Agricultural needs and Environmental needs will rise as well, creating a more desperate water crisis. Developed countries struggle with managing water consumption. Our high demand in agriculture, industry, and domestic use further complicates this issue. With increasing urbanization and extravagant changes in lifestyle, our use and wasting of water will only increase.
The first step is worldwide awareness of the water crisis: governments and the citizens they govern worldwide need to know about this problem and be actively involved in solving this problem. One of the best ways to solve this problem would be for these cities or countries to embark on water-saving programs that would drastically reduce water consumption to sustainable levels.... ... middle of paper ... ... For example, in all corners of the world, there is growing empirical evidence of increased severe weather events, flooding, and diminished ice cover, all of which worsen the problem of water shortages and can be attributed to climate change.
„X Encourage household water security by making enough water of adequate quality available year-round to ensure family survival, health and productivity, without compromising the integrity of the environment.

Global warming is one of the main causes, which leads to the lack of water and drought. A drought-like condition exists in most of India’s part. Government of India states that 68% of the country is disposed to the drought, which (consequences are) leads to massive migration of people to more favorable places, famine, conflicts among inhabitants. India is known in the world as one of the biggest producers of water-intensive crops such as rice, sugarcane and wheat. According to a survey done by Grail Research, approximately 82% of total water is used for agricultural consumption and 90% of it is employed for irrigation of rice, wheat and sugarcane (Grail Research, LLC, 2009). There are several solutions which could lead to the decr...
