Catherine Tramell's Mental Illness

I believe Catherine Tramell suffers from a number of mental illnesses. I would describe her as a psychopath with narcissistic personality disorder. She displays very heavy antisocial and histrionic features and traits. Displays to be a paraphilic with her partners, along with showing to be schizoid with her relationships. People who suffer from narcissistic disorder displays the signs of your thinking that your brilliant, wonderful, important, and worthy of constant admiration. Catherine appears to be narcissistic because she loves her wealth and has a lot of money. She can buy anything she wants or anyone. She uses her beauty as a seduction to get what she wants from both sexes. She throws out indirect comments and hits that are persuasion that she is the killer to gain more attention from Nick.
Antisocial disorders have traits of people who are irresponsible, lack guilt or remorse and engage in antisocial behavior, such as aggression, deceit, or recklessness. In Basic Instinct, Catherine shows little to no emotion, she only shows emotion when her lesbian lover Roxy dies to not cause to Nick to be suspicious. When asked about the murder rock star, she had no emotion towards him being dead, just she like the way they had sex. Catherine also seems to be a bit reckless. She drives in and out of cars to get ahead while driving,

Histrionic displays sexually provocative behavior, persistent manipulative behavior to achieve their own needs, high need for attention, and make loud and inappropriate appearances. Again, Catherine uses seduction to get her way in a situation. She also is very inappropriate. When Nick and his partner came to her house to take her back to the station for questioning, she insisted to change into something more appropriate but instead changed completely naked with the door open into a short dress then later uncrosses her legs while being questioned. She also never wears a
