Ford Sync is an innovative and interactive feature available in some Ford vehicles. It allows the driver to be able to utilize hands-free calling, music search and control, navigation, and temperate control. It provides the feedback needed that allows the driver to be informed and safe while driving. Part of doing so is allowing the user to be aware of particular user or performance errors that may stop a particular command from being completed. The dialogue of the system is easy to understand in clear and concise language, which leaves the user with the understanding of what needs to be done next. For example, when the vehicle is low on fuel, there is a message that displays advising the driver that they are low and fuel and how much further they have until they will need to refuel. The user then has the ability to dismiss the message or leave the message for informational purposes. This is an ideal example of error prevention as it indicates to the user the importance of the issue and what action is needed to fix the error. This is one of many ways that the Ford Sync system ident...
The Man’s Truck In the last thirty-eight years, Ford has known how to target the audience they have for the F- series of trucks. After the new advertisement that Ford produced, it can be implied that they replicated their success again. With the first commercial being aired on television and online during the 2014 college football playoffs, Ford had a marketing strategy. It is apparent in almost all of the advertisements, including this one that Ford produced, is to showcase the newest and the best of the best F-Series of trucks and that they aim to get all the hard working American man.
New companies encounter various obstacles, particularly if it is a small business. Regardless of what each individual live their lives, he or she will require some assistance at a certain point in their life. Accepting assistance when needed is comparable to how Peng defined strategic alliance “a voluntary agreement of cooperation between firms” (2009, p.190). Dash Labs Inc. is a company founded in New York. This organization made products that included hardware devices and smartphone applications that provided current feedback pertaining to your motor vehicle such as how much gas has been used along with diagnosing your vehicles check engine light (Perez, 2014).
Worth noting, is the fact that most drivers are persuaded to the belief that they can send some messages without negatively affecting their driving capabilities. However, some important studies have revealed that drivers are not as capable of multi-tasking as they believe they are. Researchers have revealed that drivers who text ...
GM is already producing the technology catering to the autonomous driving system in instalments as each new car produced, displays a prototype of a sophisticated “assisted driving” feature. Drivers of the Cadillac ATS sedan, a mid-sized car with a driver assistance, can now leave it to drive itself and maintain a safe distance in steady traffic. It can also measure a parking space and steer itself into it, read traffic signals, and warn the driver if he breaks the speed limit. Emergency brakes that overrule the driver’s actions in the case of an accident, add to special features that will be seen in automatic cars.
Companies like Google, Tesla and Nissan, among others, have announced over the past few years that their companies are trying to develop self-driving or autonomous cars [Ref. 1 and 2]. Self-driving cars can provide many benefits to the average consumer. Studies have shown that because computers can react and process information many times faster than a human being, crashes on streets and roads can be decreased with quick and consistent evasion maneuvers by the autonomous car. They can also help maximize fuel economy by calculating the most direct and fastest routes. When the driving of an autonomous car demonstrates that the computer can safely and reliably transport the passengers to their destination, this frees up the passengers to do other things that they would not normally be able to do if they were driving the car manually. For this reason, self-driving cars can help maximize productivity of their passengers.

Strategy implementation involves establishing programs and tactics to create a series of new organizational activities, budgets to allocate funds to the new activities, and procedures to handle the day-to-day details (Wheelen, Hunger, Hoffman, & Bamford, 2015). Essentially, after a company determines the direction of their program, it is the how that particular direction will be accomplished. It also answers the question of what resources must be moved or sold to meet the allocated budget. For example, Ford Motor Company set up a program with the sole purpose of discovering alternatives to the foam that was being used in the manufacturing of car seats (Ford Motor Company, n.d.). While this program has a great deal of potential, there are different aspects that would have to be measured and verified before it can be considered a successful course of action by the company.
These technologies have made driving an easier and enjoyable experience, as well as reducing our chances of getting into accidents. The research presented in the following article “Driven to Distraction [in car technology]” provided surprising conclusions. Professor John D. Lee from the University of Iowa states the following issue: “Technology is changing very quickly. Many of these things coming into the car were not designed to be used in it. ”(Edwards 8).
The Ford Motor Company has been in business since the nineteenth century, and it has enjoyed a rather successful run as one of the top automobile-making industries in the United States. Ford Motor Company is a prosperous business because of strategic planning and changes that it was willing to take a risk on developing and implementing. Successful corporations have to adapt to the constantly changing environment or the company will be doomed to failure. In other words, customer shopping habits change as new products are introduced to the market or when other factors beyond Ford Motor Company’s control affect which vehicles are sold. For example, there is an increased demand for fuel efficient cars when the average price per gallon
Millions of people own and drive cars, but many of those people go through their whole lives not knowing anything about how to fix or notice the minor details of their cars. Every now and then they shell out hundreds, or even thousands of dollars to take their cars to get fixed for small things. If they were to able to take a little of their time and much less money, they could easily take care of some things themselves. A few of these problems include the following: the charging system, oil changes, and fluid levels.

Installed systems inside vehicles have become a process of differentiation to understand customers looking for cars with more than just the ability to transport people from one point to another. Introducing of information systems inside vehicles has enabled manufacturers to provide their customers with extra functionality, by means of improving the desirability of the the product towards satisfying customers and at the same time enabling new business style and models through the supplying of efficient services to customers. In a science fiction film, audiences may see a scenario that in the morning a leading actor get into a car and push a start button. Suddenly there is an intelligent personal assistant like Siri asking, “Good morning, sir, what’s your destination?” “Go to my office”, the leading actor says. The intelligent personal assistant answers, “Yes, sir!” The car engine starts automatically and the car moves forward slowly without any input of the leading actor. All cars on the roads are traveling without any human control, but every car on the roads is in order and passengers can do as they please during the transport. All the way to the office, the leading actor drinks coffee and watches the news on a big monitor. When the car reaches the office, the leading actor gets out of the car and the car parks itself.
Ford Motor Company has definitely seen its ups and downs over the past few decades. Although the company experienced a dramatic downturn during the auto industry crisis in recent years, they were the only American automaker that did not ask for a government bailout to keep afloat (The New York Times Company, 2011). This ultimately gave Ford Motor Company a great advantage over other automakers because it led to new customers and a better reputation. With that being said, without proper training for implementing their plan to stay above water during such an economical crisis, none of this would have been possible. While the competitive strategy was developed by Alan Mulally, now CEO of Ford Motor Company, the human resource department ultimately helped execute it throughout the entire company. While Ford Motor Company has changed their competitive strategy many times in recent years, the ‘One Ford’ mission has brought productive growth to the company and will apparently be used for many years to come.
When I look past what's inside the Ford Focus LX Premium versus the SE Comfort, I can see many of these technological advances for what they really are: unnecessary risks. The fact is that the number of accidents (and deaths) increases as a direct result of driver distractions, and more technology only provides more distraction. Unfortunately, manufacturers realize a high tech GPS system can sell for a lot more than an improved seat belt. Protection of human safety should be the primary concern of transportation regulations and in-vehicle technology developments. So while other people continue to drive while calling in to check voice mail, worrying about finishing off the Big Gulp Slurpee, and buying a GPS navigator to find the fastest route to grandma's house, I'll know I drove away from the dealership with the safest option: focus.
